What worked for me to fix: The frp lock Soft-brick (using Samsung Smart Switch)

This will save you 8-12 hours of your time if you are lucky. This means that it also includes the meaningful links of 8-12 hours of searching. Sentences in italic are important. 1 link is for the Odin official website, the rest are re-links back into XDA.
The device in question is a SM-925T Tmobile S6 Edge.
The problem was this. I rooted my phone and messed around with Greenify and the Play store. To prepare for rooting, I allowed unknown downloads, unlocked the bootloader, and turned my security lock off (I had set it to a finger print lock). After I was done rooting, I immediately locked the bootloader again(<--A mistake that caused my bootloop/ soft-brick). After I was finished messing with the above apps (Greenify, etc), I wanted my phone to restart. So I held the Power button and selected restart, while I was on the lock screen (may not be important). I noticed that it took a long time to restart, and upon closer examination, I noticed another error under the "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" (which appears to be natural for rooted phones). The error was "Custom Binary blocked by FRP Lock". It was a new error. I investigated this new problem using the internet , and this dude was panicking like hell, but he didn't appear to fix his problem. He did hint that returning to the bootloader to its locked state was a mistake. Looked a bit more and this guy pointed to another thread, which introduced me to flashing and more importantly his fix, which was to flash the stock 5.1.1 image through odin. He used this link, which contains all the stock firmware for the majority of the new Samsung S6 and S6 edge versions. To make a long story short, most of these fixes involved flashing your firmware to the stock version. So I went to the Odin Website, and downloaded every version, as a couple threads have said that different versions worked for them. Here is a thread with everything you need for Odin. Now, after sorting through and finding micro USB cables that are detectable by Odin, an important step because Odin might develop a pattern of detecting then failing to detect your device through that cable, and testing all the usb 2.0 ports, I was ready, and had Odin with my stock firmware. Odin kept saying "NAND Write", then in the next line "FAIL". This was annoying as Odin wouldn't detect my device again unless I unplugged it, restarted it to download mode, then restarted Odin before plugging it back in. I got confused and found links for somehow fixing the .tar files, stock roms, .pit files (DO NOT MESS AROUND WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT THOSE THINGS DO), and other threads/websites that say to boot into recovery mode , factory reset, then wipe your cache. I could only do that once. After me messing around with all of the above file variants and supposed fixes to help with my issue, I couldn't boot into recovery mode, it got stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge" logo. It did not fix the NAND write failing. There however, are a lot of websites allowing you to download stock software for your phones, and I don't think I can link them as it might break a rule. Surprisingly, some have claimed that using a stock file for another device worked to fix their problem. This thread, which convinced me to use Smart Switch when it failed for everyone else, was very useful, although I recommend downloading Smart Switch from the official website of Samsung. None of the Odin flashing had worked so far, including the Roms and .pit files so I tried Smart Switch. I opened it, and upon selecting the "more" tab on the upper right corner, a bunch of tabs drop down. One should be "Emergency Software recovery and initialization". I had to find my S / N (Serial) number, and I was very confused on how to obtain that number as I was locked out. But to obtain it, do the same process to boot into download (hold volume down, home key, and power key), but stay on the prompt and don't go to the screen that has the word download in the middle. Don't do anything other then reaching the prompt confirming if you want to install a custom ROM. Then, press the home key and it should show your S / N number along with your IMEI number. Once I imputed the code I saw on my phone into Smart Switch, it told me to connect the device. Now, by this time, I realized that Odin only detects my device if it is actually in the download screen. Why shouldn't my computer? I booted into Download on my phone and followed the steps on my computer, making sure that the computer can recognize my phone while it is using a valid USB port and Cable. And after some waiting, for me, my problem was fixed and I could use my phone again, it reverted to it's out-of-box state. I hope this drawn out but very specific explanation helps you guys. It's my first post :) And also, this thread confirms that you can use a USB port for flashing(at least for ROMS), Smart Switch, and for rooting.

Samsung S6 Edge: stuck in emergency recovery page

As title. My phone is stuck in the emergency recovery page: use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch PC software. I cannot turn the phone off, I cannot go into recovery, and I cannot go into download mode.

I attempted to root the device using kingo but it failed. It was my first time rooting a device. So my phone essentially got stuck when it restarted at the "Samsung S6 Edge: Powered by Android" black screen. I then managed to "recover" the device by using Odin and flashing a stock firmware.

So I got back into the device and tried to change the settings back to what they were before. I disabled USB debugging (Bootloader option is not available for my mode, SM-G925I).

Then...having the itchy hands I do, I checked out the security portion under settings, and I saw that there was "unauthorized changes made". The program suggested that I restart my phone so as to get rid of those changes..which I did. And since then, it has been stuck again.

I actually took a trip down to the service centre where the tech actually managed to turn the device off, and I was told that warranty was void. In any case, when I returned home I tried to flash the same stock firmware that I used earlier but ODIN failed. I redownloaded the stock firmware for 925I from a couple of places and they're all 1.5gb+; but every time I try to even load the firmware Odin just hangs and I have to end the task...

Right now, I'm attempting to use smart switch and the emergency recovery function but it has not worked the first time, at the second stage where installation actually takes place. While the phone was connected, window's kept giving the notification that the device was not recognized. I'm giving smart switch a second desperate try and this time round I'm receiving no notifications from windows (so I suppose that's a good thing..). But assuming that smartswitch does not work? What are my options considering:

1) Failed root using kingo root (one-click stuff..wish I had known better)
2) USB Debugging is not enabled
3) Unable to enter recovery mode
4) Unable to enter download mode (but a download bar appears when I attempt to use Odin at the emergency recovery page)
5) 5.1.1 android system
6) Phone is not recognized by smart switch (might be because it is in the emergency recovery mode)

Really at a loss here..I'm helpless with tech and I really should have just left well alone. Jailbreaking was so much easier...Samsung quoted me 0+ for the replacement of the motherboard of the phone, which I will probably take up if the situation is really beyond repair.

Thanks in advance..

Samsung Wireless Charging Pack Review

Hi Guys,

This is going to be my first review. figured it might help some people decide whether to buy Samsungs Wireless Charging Pack. For those in the Philippines, i got mine at the samsung official store in SM Aura, BGC Taguig

Just got it a few hours ago so this will just be my initial review with photos, ill give a whole day of use review tomorrow when ive had the chance to use it fully.

Findings:

1.) The case is huge, actual measurement with the phone in is 1.8cm or 0.7 inches. It really feels like a brick

2.) It makes the phone heavy. I dont have a way to measure it exactly but an estimate would be a can of coke (the drink).

3.) its not "Fast Charging" feels like the speed of a normal wireless charger, about an hour for 25%. but then its a phone case with a battery so its not much of a bother since there are no cables.

4.) Wireless charging doesnt work with the case on. the case will charge your phone wirelessly, but if you put it on top of your "desk/normal wireless charger" with the case on, it wont charge your phone. case is too thick

5.) not sure if this is safe or if it might damage the phone, but if i plug the case to charge with the phone attached to it, it charges both. the case charges and it charges the phone wirelessly at the same time.

6.) as can be seen on the photo, there is no "over lap" or "lip" when the phone is in the case. if your phone drops screen first, there is no protection

so basically thats all i can say for now. Tom ill try to see if it can charge the phone to full from empty with one charge.

Im a heavy phone user, the note 5 if unplugged at 7am only lasts me till 2pm. so this will help alot. i can deal with the increased size and weight as long as my phone makes it to bedtime.

let me know if you have any questions, ill try to answer them.

Smart watches (Moto 360, LG Samsung)

Anyone here rocking a smart device? What is the best convenience using these things? How are the battery life using it with the gs6? Does having Bluetooth on all the time affect it a lot?

My thoughts in general are if you're going to buy a fit bit, might as well dish out more for 100x the functionality. I also really like changing the watch face to fit my changing preferences.

Thoughts?

SM-N9208 Duos Samsung Keyboard

So I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 SM-N9208, the dual sim Taiwanese version, because they do not sell the dual sim version in Australia.

The Samsung keyboard that comes with this ROM is honestly awful, the space bar is tiny on the huge screen, it won't let me remove Chinese as one of the languages and just trying to use symbols is a nightmare.

I was wondering, either how can I remove Chinese as one of the languages, or how do I install a different version of the Samsung Keyboard? The keyboard on the S6 was great, and I would love to get that back.

If neither are possible without root, is there any other keyboards or apps that have a number row built in and doesn't offer bloated predictive text? I normally don't type with predictive text on, and Fleksy/Swiftkey force you to use them.

Need help with unbricking Samsung Galaxy S6 [G920F] - stuck on boot loop

I'm completely hopeless, and all I can count on are good people from XDA to help me.

I bought a new Samsung Galaxy S6, T-Mobile version [G920F], running Android 5.1.
I used this tutorial:
http://www.droidviews.com/root-samsu...ry-all-models/

I enabled USB Debugging, downloaded latest Samsung USB drivers.

First I successfully installed TWRP 2.8.7.1, and meanwhile copied the SuperSU.zip to my device.
I had successfully entered TWRP, went to Install, and selected teh SuperSU file. It said it was done, so I went ahead and restarted my device.

Immediately, I noticed that the device was stuck on the boot logo (Galaxy S6 + Powered by Android screen).

And for some reason, when I connect the device with USB to mc PC, Windows says it's "damaged or undetected", something of that sort.
Luckily, I can still detect it in ODIN.

I might mention that I can still enter TWRP & Download Mode from the Bootloop.

I'll give any more information I can, just tell me if there is any hope for me.
Thank you so much.

Hello all I just recently purchased a Galaxy Note 4 and I'm trying to install lollipop via ODIN but it keeps failing I think partly because the bootloader shows up as N910T when the phone model is actually N910F european model that was bought in the UK obviously the phoned has been tampered with in the past and I would like to change the bootloader and baseband which are both N910T to N910F however the CSC shows up as N910FXXU1ANK4 i don't understand this?. Bootloader version is N910TUVU1ANJ7? the phone thinks it is the US T-Mobile Variant im guessing somebody screwed it up in the past? anyhow I need to be able to flash N910F 5.1.1 Lollipop to the phone but it always results in FAIL!(Auth) in Odin v3.0.9 .

Samsung Galaxy S3 4G charger issues

Hello!
For long now I've been using my sister's usb charger to charge my s3 because it is a 2.1A one. The OEM charger is just sooo slow and weird, sometimes it chargers 40% in a hour, sometimes 5%. But today I went to buy my own charger, so I bought a Sandstøm one (same brand as my sis') that has a 2.4A and 2.1A port. But when I got to using it, I found out that when I'm playing games and charging the battery is still draining and not charging, faster using the 2.4A port and slower using the 1A port. But ehen I use my sister's charger it charges fine. I am using the OEM charger cables, so thats not the issue I think. I just want to know, why? Is this something to do with the phone limiting the charging current more on my charger, and is there any way I could workaround this? I know the phone should only draw a little over 1A at max, but why does my sister's charger charge faster?
