Unlocked, rooted EVO 4G LTE. Now I just need a ROM & how to do it?

I've Unlocked, and Rooted my EVO 4G LTE.
It has TWRP Recovery and installed SuperSU.

Now I need to find the right, stable, smooth, ROM to flash. I would be happy with basic Android. I don't understand what features I'd want from a custom ROM.

I'm planning to use this as a wifi Internet, email, camera device without cellular service.

I assume that by getting rid of HTC Sense and all the extra bloat apps that Sprint and HTC had on there that I can keep this device running as a smooth Android tool.

I'd be happy with the latest Android version that will run well on it. (I've had the experience of Lollipop on an old Nexus 7 2012 WiFi and it doesn't work well. Very lagggy. So I flashed that one all the way back to JellyBean to get it run smoothly.) So for this EVO 4G LTE, I don't know if it will handle a more recent Android or not. I'm willing to try custom ROMs if they are stable and complete (the main features work well, etc.)

I am inexperienced in rooting / flashing. I used the Universal Toolkit after unlocking to flash TWRP and root with SuperSU. That worked.


So I need help in finding the right ROM and the how-to of installing it. Thanks.

my devic is not recorgnized by HTC sync..
but its recogrinzed by pc..

in Adb run it shows Waiting for device..

[Q] Having a hard time starting. Need help getting passed this seemingly minor issue.

I'm following a course from StackSkills to learn how to develop applications. I'm using Andriod Studio SDK. I am still in the absolute beginning and in the video it showed to drag a widget to the "phone?" and when I tried doing that it didn't allow me to. When I try to drag onto the phone it displays a "cancel" symbol where the pointer would be. I apologize beforehand if this is not the proper location for the thread. I'm new here as well. Hi, Good day. I am just a noob in porting but I successfully ported MIUI 6 to my MT6582 Kitkat however I'm having a hard time looking for a fix whenever I have to create a new APN and save it here comes the error "com.android.settings has stopped". If anyone here knows how to fix it or which file should I patched from Stock ROM. Please, it's been two days for me looking for a fix and I came up nothing. Your help is highly appreciated. Boot Loop SPG611 Need help to root my tablet please

I got the Z3tc SPG611 on lollipop firwmare .200
No matter what I tried I keep on getting bootloop

I have followed instructions: developer option, unknown source, install driver for flashtool successfully on win10...
I flashed the old firmware without any exception, and then the D6603 exploit system only.
When I try to restart the tablet it keeps on bootlooping at the blue animation thing.

the only thing i am not confident about is the MTP mode, i can't find the option to turn it off (not in storage like on nexus devices).

any help would be appreciated. thanks

Need help with unbricking Samsung Galaxy S6 [G920F] - stuck on boot loop

I'm completely hopeless, and all I can count on are good people from XDA to help me.

I bought a new Samsung Galaxy S6, T-Mobile version [G920F], running Android 5.1.
I used this tutorial:

I enabled USB Debugging, downloaded latest Samsung USB drivers.

First I successfully installed TWRP 2.8.7.1, and meanwhile copied the SuperSU.zip to my device.
I had successfully entered TWRP, went to Install, and selected teh SuperSU file. It said it was done, so I went ahead and restarted my device.

Immediately, I noticed that the device was stuck on the boot logo (Galaxy S6 + Powered by Android screen).

And for some reason, when I connect the device with USB to mc PC, Windows says it's "damaged or undetected", something of that sort.
Luckily, I can still detect it in ODIN.

I might mention that I can still enter TWRP & Download Mode from the Bootloop.

I'll give any more information I can, just tell me if there is any hope for me.

hi . i recently bought htc one m9+ . it is box packed without warranty . today i try to boot it in recovery mode but in recovery mode it didt Display any option it goes to recovery mode and display a normal phone with triangle but didnt display any option after 1min without displaying any message it reboot in to normal mode . 2nd thing that this phone lightweight then my m8 . tell me any other way to check is it real or clone ? guyz please help me . i am confused

Need Help with FRP binary lock

Flashed the Moar rom and all was working fine until I turned on the OEM Unlocked and then rebooted the next day.
Now I all I can get is the download mode. Tried flashing the rom, TWRP, Stock tar rom with Odin. And get nothing but failed. Called Sammy customer support and all they would say is they don't support custom roms. I am downloading Kies 3 to see that will work. So whatever you do, don't turn off the OEM Unlock or you are screwed.
Unless someone can help it looks like I will have pay full price for a new phone.

As mentioned, I need to go back to stock in order to unlock my phone but it has been a very long time since I have done anything techy to this phone. I know I needed an RUU file (which one?) and drivers but I also read about it failing in Windows 10. Can anyone advise how I can unlock my Rogers evita device?

Hello everyone, I I just got an M9 at my local Telus store and I would like to be able to do everything with it like I am able to do with my M7, so I know I will need to use sunshine to get S-OFF and I would also like to be able to change everything from the rom to the kernel to the OS, everything, so I was just wondering if someone could let me know the best order to go about doing things, meaning should I do sunshine first then worry about flashing a recovery and all that, or should I do the recovery first so that I can backup the phones current state? The phone currently says this in the hboot screen:

Now like I mentioned before, it would probably be best if I can make a backup of the phones current state just in case there are any issues, so to do that I know I need a recovery, but do I need to do the HTC Dev unlocker before I can do so? or do I have to flash a recovery first before everything else?

I need to retrieve my contacts from my smashed lg l70 (d321 - cricket) phone

The display is completely smashed and doesnt display anything, but the phone still turns on and thanks to LG's knock code I can unlock my phone and plug it into my computer and view all the files. The problem is I cannot locate where the contacts are stored, and when I do find the file how I can view the information if a simple text editor won't suffice. From the research I've done the location of contacts is different from phone to phone depending on who made it, which android version, etc. I believe the phone was on android 4.4. Thank you for any help or guidance.

ok here we go, i have a Note 4 sm-n910a and i update to 5.1.1 but when its finish send me a message: "Android is starting... optimizing app 1 of 23" and on 12 of 23 boop, and restart again and again. I try put AP file in ap slot, BL on BL slot, cp on cp and CSC on csc, and finish ok, but when restart do that again and again, even i try puting the pit file but the same, i don´t no what happen (i can´t do downgrade)

There is a solution , or blockage stayed forever? :crying:

I have been using H815T rooted and running Seven Rom 6.1. Everything was fine. Suddenly my phone restarted all by itself when it was lying on the bed, charging, and went into bootloop. Since then I couldn't restart it. I even flashed the KDZ (cse flash) but same thing happening. LG logo going and coming...going and coming....
Can anyone suggest me what to do please?
