[Q] Having a hard time starting. Need help getting passed this seemingly minor issue.

I'm following a course from StackSkills to learn how to develop applications. I'm using Andriod Studio SDK. I am still in the absolute beginning and in the video it showed to drag a widget to the "phone?" and when I tried doing that it didn't allow me to. When I try to drag onto the phone it displays a "cancel" symbol where the pointer would be. I apologize beforehand if this is not the proper location for the thread. I'm new here as well. Thanks for any help.

Wifi and Data 4G ON at the same time Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 P7300

Hi,is it possible to have a wifi connection ( Not Hotspot ) with a airplay receiver or other wireless devices that uses wifi (printers,cameras etc....) and use the Data 4G connection for internet connectivity ?I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 P7300 Andoid 4.0.4 Rooted connected over wifi to an airplay receiver but i don't have internet connection on my tablet while wifi is connected to airplay receiver and i would really appreciate a solution or a app that could solve this issue.

[Q] My OPO CPU is at full effect all the time!

hey everyone i just installed cm12.1 on my OPO. and i got some problems.

1. my cpu is only showing the cpu states 2.46, 2.27, 1.96, 1.73, 1.57. and deep sleep. all the other cpu states are not shown for me in betterbatterystats app. and when i check in rom toolbox pro my cpu sliders are both set to maximum ghz. and i did try to take the min freq slider to the minimum and set on boot, but it did not help. the sliders were still on max when i startet the app again and the same cpu states in BBS. i can't even see or find what would be the wakelock for this or something... it does go to deepsleep but when it is awake it is never showing the lowest cpu state 300 MHZ the lowest it goes to is 1.57 GHZ

2. sometimes when i shut down my phone it restarts by itself even though i tell it to shut of.

does any of you know anything about these problems? please help me! i really need help with this.

my samsung galaxy s4 on the ''same'' rom 10-24 is not having any of these problems. the cpu is normal and i haven't noticed any reboots when telling it to shut down.

any thoughts or answers are welcome

Good standby battery, poor screen time

HI there. My battery life on my SM-N900 is very frustrating. Previously, I used a iPhone 5s and people told me that android was much better and has excellent battery life. Right now, I don't really like android because my iPhone battery lasted 5 hours of SOT. I purchased a used note 3 n900 which is apparently less than 2 years old (original owner purchased in late 2013 or early 2014). I currently use the Dr. Ketan L24 rom. Both this rom and the stock 5.0 TW rom have bad battery life. When I turn the screen off, the battery life is very very fine and sometimes even goes up a little by itself. The minute I turn the screen on, my battery is drain. I only get 3-4 hours of screen on time. I hear some people receive 5-7 hours of SOT. I've tried so many different methods, including wiping the cache partition from recovery, factory reset, disabling system apps (all Samsung bloatware) with titanium backup pro, disabling wakelocks, alarms and services using Amplify, Disable sync, location, and having low brightness. I also don't use mobile data so that's always turned off. I use Greenify to greenify many of my apps, including facebook, messenger, instagram, etc. I have also used apps such as GSAM battery monitor and Wakelock detector and better battery stats. None of these apps show out of the ordinary behaviour. The only thing left for me to do is to purchase a new battery, but before i do that I would like to see if I can fix my battery life throuh software. My current battery problem status is different from other people's as I've noticed that others have poor standby but good SOT. If someone could explain why my SOT is so low, it would be much appreciated!

Feel like I'm going to drop this thing all the time

I've had this phone for 48 hours and I've almost dropped it more times than I can count. I have the black rubber back on it, feels like I'm holding a bar of soap. The bumper helps a little but looks god awful on the phone. Should I case the phone or just deal with it. I'm on the brink of returning it but I really want to like this phone.

tab 10.1wifi gt p 7510 messed up big time !

I have seriously messed up my tab.
Heres what happened:

Tried to root it using odin, failed, not sure why or in hindsight what I did
Same day it worked fine, went to bed, charged it.
Next morning, nothing, black screen , totally dead.
Connected to win7 pc, goes straight to apx device, with driver loaded.

So I cant even access tab in pc, it just sits there.

Done so far :

Read forums for days on end lol
Tried all the stuff regarding pressing volume down\up and on buttons in various combinations
Opened the tab up and disconnected the battery, waited and reconnected.
Drained the battery, I think, as I cannot see anything on tab screen, taped down the on button .
Installed many different drivers
Installed android studio, adb fastboot
In cmd adb devices fastboot devices either waiting for device or no devices etc
Odin cant see it either
Downloaded lots of stuff I read about on this forum and others.

I have no idea what to do next.
Just want the darn thing to work again
I also read maybe it is either now hard bricked or corrupt bootloader
If so I still cant find a solution.
I do not want to try root it etc, back to normal if possible.
please help me out guys
I will reply to messages and do all the (home) work needed to fix this :)

Customize World Time watch face

Hi there,

I got mine Gear S2 yesterday and this is pretty nice piece of stuff (of course with some cons). And for beginning I started from customization. I like World Time face, but strangely time zones are fixed and I couldn't change them. So in option with three clocks I have London and Beijing time zones (currently I'm in Poland). There is any way to chose different ones?

I would like to be able to block all incoming text messages for a specific time each day (ie, 8:00 pm to 8:00 am). I understand how to do this with incoming calls, but is there a way to do this with text messages? An added bonus would be the ability to send an automatic response during this time.

Time the unlock screen stays after 5.1.1 upgrade is 1 SECOND. Is there a setting?

I open the cover and I use to have 2 or 3 seconds to start typing in my pin to unload. After the 5.1.1 upgrade now I open the cover and before I can start entering my pin the screen have gone black again. I have to hit the power or home button again to activate the screen again.

Is there a setting I haven't found as to how long this stays active? I just want a few seconds not one.

Get Favorite apps pre installed on every rom every time

Sometimes it hack of nut job if don't have faster internet connection or file manger to install your favorite apps or bit headache to install every time you flash stock rom or custom distally specially on stock in which not having a file manger or gallery app or even build in video player dissent l doesn't support all media types in marshmallow or outdated whatsapp that after installing stock asks you to update it :@

How to get it work ??
Just simply copy in root file manger or es file explorer every desirable app ( for me MX player for videos ; es explorer and a costom gallery app not having in marshmallow :( )
And then open

Root/OEM/app
Then it paste it there

Boom now get those pre installed on all ROMs and OTA'S

P.S
Paste the latest version of whatsapp and after installing the ROM no more updating to use it ;)


Bonus

Copy your fav Wallpaper and rename it to " default_wallpaper" and paste it to
Root/OEM/media/

Same goes for notification and ringtone ;)
Just rename yours to the file name given in
"Ringtone" and "Notification" folder and paste it there to replace the stock ;)
