Anyone with issues with finger print reader unlocking S6 since latest ota update?

My mom's S6 is responding weird since the latest ota. When she tries to go unlock the phone the screen goes black in a second. She has to quickly press the option to enter backup password. Anyone have the same issue?

Zombi Pop 5.1.1 RC1 issues with micro HDMI

I have had my Asus TF700T for a couple of years now and have been installing the latest ROMS that have been developed. Since July I have had the Zombi Pop 5.1.1 RC1 Rom and the patch installed. It's been running smoothly, and I haven't had many problems. Yesterday, I tried connecting the display to my TV and was not able to display anything. The TV indicated there was no signal. Does this ROM support micro HDMI? When I first purchased my TF700T I was able to connect to the TV. I'm using a micro HDMI to HDMI adapter and then the HDMI to HDMI cable to connect to the TV.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Samsung Galaxy S3 4G charger issues

Hello!
For long now I've been using my sister's usb charger to charge my s3 because it is a 2.1A one. The OEM charger is just sooo slow and weird, sometimes it chargers 40% in a hour, sometimes 5%. But today I went to buy my own charger, so I bought a Sandstøm one (same brand as my sis') that has a 2.4A and 2.1A port. But when I got to using it, I found out that when I'm playing games and charging the battery is still draining and not charging, faster using the 2.4A port and slower using the 1A port. But ehen I use my sister's charger it charges fine. I am using the OEM charger cables, so thats not the issue I think. I just want to know, why? Is this something to do with the phone limiting the charging current more on my charger, and is there any way I could workaround this? I know the phone should only draw a little over 1A at max, but why does my sister's charger charge faster?

Problems with 2G/3G Signal Reception. Antenna issues?

Folks.

I dropped my phone once and since then, it has very bad connectivity. Flashed all sorts of ROMs and radios but nothing would work. I am afraid this is a physical damage/dislocation to either antenna or the 2G/3G GSM Radio Chip, since 4G/LTE works mostly fine.

Any idea what might have gone wrong?

Aspect ratio issues

Anyone having aspect ratio issues with the new chromecast? I watch twitch.tv every once in awhile and I notice that the aspect ratio is off when casting to the new chromecast. Is this something that's always an issue?

Water Damaged OPO, Speaker Issues

Well I dropped my OPO into a creek in about 2 feet of water. After being submerged for about 15 minutes I thought it was toast. I put it in the ol' bag of rice for a few days and to my absolute amazement it booted right up and works flawlessly except for one issue.

The loudspeakers are so quiet at full volume you can barely hear them. Earpiece speaker works fine. I popped the back off and took the speaker assembly out and removed one of the two speakers. It looks fine and there is no moisture in it. If I set it on the board contacts at full volume I can barely hear it play.

Do you think a new pair of speakers would fix the issue? Can I test the board outputs to see if its putting out enough juice to run the speakers? Any thoughts or input would greatly be appreciated!

Lock screen issues

Hi guys, is anyone else having a issue getting their screen to lock? I've checked all my settings and it's definitely set up correctly to lock as soon as my screen goes off. Yet when I wake it up I can just swipe to open. I have the setting off for my home location safe unlock thing. Any ideas?

Issues with Stable Bluetooth Connection in Car

I'm having an issue with my bluetooth holding a connection with my 2013 Honda Civic LX. When listening to music through any music playing app, the connection always stays steady. When there is no music running from the phone, I'll frequently get a message from the display on the dash that the phone has been disconnected. The phone will usually reconnect in a second or two, with another display indicating that it has been connected. This will happen at least two times during my commute to work (25 minutes), oftentimes as many as five times. When I am actively in a phone call, the disconnects seem to be more frequent. It has a timer on the display that shows how long the phone call has been active through the car, and it rarely gets above 3 minutes before the call gets routed back to the phone's speakers while the bluetooth reconnects. The strange thing is that my wife's LG G4, also AT&T, has absolutely no connection issues at any time. I switched phones with her for a week just to confirm since I'm the one generally driving this car, and I didn't have the car drop the connection to the phone even once. Before that week, her phone would have occasionally been used when we were both in the car and she wanted to listen to music through her phone, so it had been connected to the car for more than a week.

I factory reset the phone just to see if there was a strange software issue causing the problem. After the factory reset, the phone and car had a steady connection with no drops for about a week. When the problem came back and was obviously just as bad as before, I tried another factory reset. Once again, the connection stayed steady for about a week before I would get disconnects again. At this point, I contacted AT&T, who replaced my phone thinking that it could be a hardware issue. A week after getting my replacement, the issue popped up once again.

Besides factory resetting, which is the only thing I've found to fix it at least temporarily, I have tried a few different troubleshooting steps. I have cleared cache using the storage screen in the settings menu. I've deleted the phone from the car's connection list. I've re-paired the phone to the car without giving permission for contacts or messages. Also tried to just do a simple reboot of the phone, as well as turning bluetooth off and back on. None of these have any effect on the connection issues once they start coming up.

I can take the car to Honda, but judging on the fact that my wife's phone works just fine in the car, I'm convinced that it is somehow an issue with the software on my phone. My phone is not rooted, and is currently running Android 5.1, S/W H81010o, Build LMY47D.

Note 4 and issues with some Wifi

Hi, i have my Samsung Note 4 phone and O.S. ver. 5.1.1 stock firmware, no root and build N910FXXU1COH4.
I've noticed problems on Google Search, Facebook and upgrading on Play Store when I'm connected to some wifi network.
Recently I configurated at my friend a station to receive Internet connection (Adsl) from his brother and I installed him a TpLink Cpe and an access point with ddwrt software installed.
Then...my Note 4 has the problems I said and pc, Samsung S3 Neo and another Samsung work regurarly for all apps, upgradings and searchings!
I don't know why I have this issye in my Note 4!
I configurated the Cpe setting as dns (not obbligatory) the ip of his brother's router connected to internet.
I tried to insert 8.8.4.4 with static ip but I don't fix the issue.

Having bluetooth issues on my S4

I have been having what would seem like a hardware issue with my S4, where the bluetooth connection is spotty and drops in and out frequently. It happens on all different bluetooth connections, and i want to say it's hardware bc if i leave the phone alone it is usually better and doesn't toggle in and out, when i pick the phone up and move it around it cuts out much more.

is there any way to fix this? i have no idea how to swap out the bluetooth hardware or if that's basically built into the MB.

thanks for looking

Ok Google Bluetooth Hands-free issues

So I got a new car (2016 "facelift" Kia Ceed 4 Tech)... and whilst OK Google Hotword detection over bluetooth sort of works, the
state of the dialler appears quite broken... and I was hoping if anyone could help.

Nexus 5 running Marshmallow paired to the car with Phone & Media Audio selected.. Google Voice Typing settings set to record audio through headset if available.

1) With screen on, say "Ok Google" wait for phone to respond with the first and then second beeps (I guess the second beep is to
signify the phone is then listening over bluetooth)

2) Say "Call xxxxxx mobile/home" etc.

3) Phone responds and starts dialling. Call is answered and the car Infotainment screen gives a prompt to change to "hands free mode", requiring a manual button press..

Not exactly "hands free behaviour".. :) Not compared to when I pair my wife's Galaxy Note 4, do exactly the same steps and everything goes through seamlessly with
the car automatically going to bluetooth handsfree without requiring me to press the button on the infotainment screen.

Now if you look at the dialler screen on the Nexus 5 whilst the call is going through, you can see the dropdown to manually choose between "Headset" "Speakerphone" "Bluetooth"
and the "Bluetooth" one is indeed selected but clearly the phone and car aren't handshaking to tell the car to automatically default to handsfree. At this point, you can re-select the bluetooth
option but it doesn't do anything, and the car is still waiting for manual confirmation.

More weirdness is, if you start a voice call with OK Google but actually press the phone button to action the call, then it all works fine...

Both Marshmallow and the car are new, so I'm not hopeful that anyone has an answer but given the Note 4 works perfectly, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.. :)

Galaxy S5 Dual SIM issues

I have a strange issue with my Galaxy S5 Duos(Klte duos) SM--G900FD model.
Already the device is rooted.

SIM-1--WCDMA/GSM mode and SIM-2 --GSM mode.
Only through SIM-1 I'm able to make & receive calls.
Any call made by using SIM-2 OR any calls received in SIM-2, there is no sound/audio.
But through SIM-2, I'm able to receive / send SMS messages.

Now,
SIM-1--GSM mode and
SIM-2--WCDMA/GSM mode.
Only SIM-2 will function properly and if SIM-1 is used there is no audio / sound.

I don't know what to do, kindly suggest me a solution to solve this issue.
Many Thanks !

Att h810o camera issues

Cm 12.1 snapshot issues

I helped my dad get his dlx running cm12.1 in the summer and it's been fine up until recently. He's been updating nightly builds once a week and recently noticed the screen blanking out on him. I helped him flash the 12.1 snapshot build, and factory reset his device, but not LTE seems to be broken. Text messaging works, calls are only successfully if we change the mobile network mode to something other than LTE, and mobile data is non existant.

Is there a specific radio/baseband we should flash or perhaps some configuration to double check that can fix this? I'm not a Verizon user so I'm hoping some of you in the community can lend a hand!

Issues / lag with developer options enabled

Hi all,

Like some other people, I had some really annoying issues with my G3:

- Consistent lag in launcher
- Heating
- Reboot on phone / unlocking
- Animations sets to off

I tried a few suggestions here in the forum, like disabling thermal trhottling, using apps like seeder and greenify, all without result.
A hard reset did the trick, but for some reason it always came back after a while. Then I found out what the issue was... Developer settings!
As soon as this is enabled, I get the urge to throw this phone out of the window. When I disable it, it is as fast as when i bought it.
I enable this option by defaiult, as I use ADB a lot.
Any other people having this issue as wel?

Issues Loading Web Pages / Slow Data

Anyone else noticing a recent issue where chrome won't load Web pages over cellular data? Or very slow data response from some apps (but not all) again over cellular? I'm on Verizon Wireless, and have had issues for two days now. Not sure if it is the phone or VZW.

issues with music player and pandora

Coming from the N6,I really love this phone. My biggest issues are music player,it stops playing over Bluetooth after a few songs which is really annoying even third party apps do the same. Pandora is my second issue. Most times when selecting the app,it just freezes and I gotta close it out and reopen it. Also after a song or 2 plays it will completely close itself. Quite annoying issues. Anyone having these problems?

Would a custom ROM help with my speen issues?

Last summer (last year) my relay started getting slow, I then installed JB on it using odin and it started getting even slower, the screen sometimes tears when I move and on rarer ocasions even by itself with no movement, it also randomly turns the screen blue and I have to force-restart it. I tried going back to ICS using odin but when I do, wifi never works... here we are over a year later and the slowness is getting almost unbearable...

I bought a new S5 from ebay but it came defective and the exchange also came defective... while I deal with getting a refund and getting a new S5 im still stuck using my old, slow, relay.

So since i cannot go back to ICS and JB as been a torture since day one, you guys think one of the custom roms on this site could make the phone faster for the time being?

No SIM card, no camera and display issues after changing ROM.

Hello!
A few days ago I decided to root my M8 and change ROM to Google Play Edition. Something went wrong during installation and now my phone doesn't recognize a SIM card, camera doesn't work and display is glitching. So I wanted to use a backup file I created earlier, but it was corrupted...
I've already installed 4 different ROMs: InsertCoin, Stock GPE 5.1, Cyanogen CM12.1 and now I've returned to Stock M8.
The problem occurred on every ROM.
I'm attaching a few links to show how it looks like (sorry for incomplete urls):

No SIM Card: i60.tinypic[dot]com/2dab0up[dot]jpg

Camera App: i59.tinypic[dot]com/2ir5iky[dot]png

Flashing and colorful dots on the screen: www[dot]youtube[dot]com/watch?v=4u7hRfvUjTw

However the display works fine when I turn on Airplane mode.
