Hi, Good day. I am just a noob in porting but I successfully ported MIUI 6 to my MT6582 Kitkat however I'm having a hard time looking for a fix whenever I have to create a new APN and save it here comes the error "com.android.settings has stopped". If anyone here knows how to fix it or which file should I patched from Stock ROM. Please, it's been two days for me looking for a fix and I came up nothing. Your help is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Looking for the Kitkat Turilo Data Fix Zip
Does anyone still have the Kitkat Data Fix Zip that Turilo hosted on MEGA before taking it down? It was for running International KK Roms on our Note 4 devices. It was originally in the XNote thread, but the zip has been 404d.

Galaxy Tab P1000 KitKat 4.4.4 Omnirom How to increase /data partition?
Hi all, I have installed Omnirom KitKat 4.4.4 from the official site to my P1000 recently. I really liked everything. However, I found that the /data size is only 1.5GB. That is way too small and I would really like to repartition it to take space from the /sdcard partition and give it to the /data partition. May I know how to go about doing that? I have been looking around the forums but haven't seen anything concrete that I can try. Please help.
In case this is helpful, I first flashed omni-5.1.1-20150803-p1-HOMEMADE.zip from humberos website before I wiped it and flashed the official rom from the omnirom official site
I read somewhere that some people did what I was trying to do by amending the PIT file using PIT magic and then flashed that to their device. Will that work in my case? What will be actual flow that needs to be done looks like if that can be done on this device and rom?
Thank you very much for reading and helping.
Blessings,
Edmund

Flash Stock Kitkat RUU on htc820u (Unsolved)
Hello everyone,
i bought an htc 820u recently and in the settings > about, software update is missing. Therefore i cannot upgrade to lollipop, that is my main problem.
I think that the only solution would be to install another stock kitkat rom so i can do the software update. i am used to flash samsung roms but when it comes to htc i know nothing. it's been 4 days i've been searching desperately but i cant get any tutorial to flash a kitkat rom. i managed to get a solution where it says to restore the kitkat rom through a twrp backup. i told to myself ok, i made a search on how to get twrp recovery and to my disapointment i find out that i need to unlock bootloader.
Once more i told to myself ok and go forward trying to unlock bootloader but i can't figure out how to do that correctly. All that struggle only to get a lollipop update, i'm really tired of that i'm losing all my time with this. If anyone can help me that would be appreciated. Feels really discouraging to look for something that much and not getting any results wow... :(

FINALLY , AT&T LG Vigor D725 Stock KitKat 4.4.2 KDZ Firmware File
Hi everyone, I've been a longtime lurker here on XDA for anything and everything I've needed for my devices, but in the six-or-so years I've been on here, I've never had anything to contribute on my own for the community. Today, however, I'm stoked to say that for the small number of people that haven't given up on the LG G3 Vigor, I FINALLY was able to obtain a stock firmware 4.4.2 file in .KDZ format direct from LG.
I, like many others on here and other G3 communities, have struggled for the past few months in trying to keep this device stable, but apparently the Vigor (more so the D725 AT&T variant, since it seems the Sprint LS885 has a little more support, but still basically next to nothing at all for both) is a redheaded stepchild or something since no one I've seen on here has been able to offer anything other an a root method for it, however I can't help but think that was just dumb luck since that root method has been proven to work on to work on ALL the G3 variants. Anyway, after almost giving up on this device after six months of not being able to find a stock firmware ROM file for it, let alone any custom ROM, I tried calling LG as a last resort with not much hope. Lucky for me though, I got a super nice rep by the name of Rachel, who immediately understood what I was asking and e-mailed me a link to the only stock firmware file they have for it - a D725PR 4.4.2 firmware file in .KDZ format.
You may notice that the model number - D725PR - isn't either of the AT&T or Sprint models. It's actually for the LG G3 Beat that was released for Puerto Rico, but it is basically identical to the D725 and LS885 minus the carrier APN settings, and of course no AT&T or Sprint bloatware. Rachel was so confident that this file was what I needed, that she wanted me to flash it while on the phone with her, and if it didn't work and I ended up with a brick, she'd open a warranty ticket to replace it free of charge since my Vigor is still under warranty (as are almost all others I think, since the Vigor was released late 2014.) I used the LG Flash Tool under Windows 10 while on the phone with the rep the whole time, and sure enough, about six minutes and two reboots later, the device booted right up to the LG setup welcome screen. I was told that since the KDZ is technically for the Puerto Rico variant, I'd likely have to manually input AT&T's APN settings for data, but it configured itself and AT&T's APN profile in the mobile network/tethering menu was already in there. Now, my device is unlocked, so I don't know if maybe that's why it configured itself on its own, but if you flash this file to factory restore or downgrade, or remove root and find you don't have your carrier's APN profile in there, just do a Google search for the settings, and you should get your data back.
Sorry this post ended up being a novel, but I'm very happy that I finally managed to score this stock firmware file after LITERALLY six months of it sitting in a drawer, pulling it out every so often in hopes that somewhere online, someone posted the file to finally get everyone flashed back to stock, but nope. I don't see why this wouldn't work for anyone else with an AT&T or Sprint Vigor, but obviously I must say I can't be held responsible if, for whatever reason, something bad happens. I hope this was able to help at least SOMEONE other than myself, because like I said, I've been using this forum for the past six-or-so years to keep up with development and learn to root whatever new device I got, but never contributed myself. This community deserves it, because no one on here has to do what they do, yet they choose to do it all for free, as a public service or something, in order to help others have a better experience with their devices. And for that, I myself am forever grateful. I hope this helps - good luck! :)

How can I downgrade my S4 (SCH-i545) from lollipop to KitKat?
I just bought this phone used from ebay. It has Lollipop 5.0.1. I want to downgrade to KitKat 4.4.2 (I like it better and I want to root it.) I hate Lollipop!
I've tried flashing a couple different firmware's from Sam Mobile, but Odin starts then fails every time. Is there something else I should be doing?

Hardbricked Moto G after CM 12 Nightly Update (Did not downgrade to KitKat)
Please pardon me for any faux pas as I am new here.
Mods please refer me to the appropriate thread and close this one, in case this one is a duplicate.
It seems my Moto G 1 Gen XT1033 is hardbricked. I had been running a CM 12 for falcon - nightly release since May 2015 and had had no problems so far. I had also upgraded my recovery to CWM Touch.
Two weeks ago, my phone got stuck in a boot loop (I now realise that that is called a softbrick), I managed to boot into recovery and updated my OS with the latest nightly release of CM 12 for my phone. I also tried to upgrade the recovery version with the same as that of the OS version but I don't think that it got upgraded. (I'm not sure what it said).
Anyway my phone was working fine for an hour or so until CM gave some errors on opening the themes configuration, so I thought rebooting my phone would solve the problem.
My phone never booted after that. It didn't even turn on or boot into the bootloader/recovery etc. I checked the battery etc. and it was fine. There was no issue with the hardware.
I then connected my phone to my laptop and it recognised it as qhsusb_bulk. I have spent a lot of time searching and trying various methods like:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...oto-g-t2833798
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...asher-t2959076
Using the MotoTool All In One etc.
I cant seem to figure out the problem. I don't even know what my bootloader version was etc.
Is there a problem with my bootloader or recovery? I can't seem to understand.
Can someone please help me with this?
Thanks
