How to return from firmware United Kingdom BTU G928FXXU2AOJ5 last firmware. to France XEF G928FXXU1AOH3 firmware. i tried meny times but failed.. end any time to flash btu firmware the csc it is not change. end after clear cache end clear cache factory reset. why;;

Warning! I only tested in 2 devices and all work well, but I am not sure is all the devices which work or not.
And I don't know can we go back 5.1 via Flashtool, so bear in mind.

[FIX] Flashing stock FW fails on flashing hidden.img step (ODIN)

I have faced it myself, and somehow I fixed it by myself. Since it fails on Hidden.img, my mind clicked.

Here are the steps:
1 - Download your Stock FW, its file extension should be '.zip'.
2 - Extract it anywhere you like, then you get the PDA file which its extension is '.md5'.
3 - Flash it, and wait till it Fails.
3 - Right click to open the .md5 file and choose WinRAR.
4 - There you will find boot.img, system.img and other files, but you will also find the hidden.img.
5 - Extract hidden.img to your desktop and then rename it as hidden.img.tar.
6 - Import hidden.img.tar into ODIN in the PDA tab.
7 - Finally, restart your device into Download Mode, then flash it.

Xperia Neo (MT15i) Downgrade to stock ROM + KERNEL with .FTF files

Hello to Forum,

Just a week ago, i decided to upgrade to CM10.1 ROM. Unfortunately, storage space is running low, HDMI not working, camera is not taking that good image as before, and soon on. SO, I want to downgrade back to stock.
So,the steps that I have done so far are :
1) I found both stock kernel and ROM (.FTF) files and paste them in the \firmwares file of flashtool.
2) Installed all the Flashtool-drivers.
3) Run flashtool and then into flashmode bootmode.
4) selected the rom I want to install
5) Connect my phone by pressing the back button and then plug the usb.

On the following step I get the error: Flashtool loader.sin finished with errors. I try tho days now to sort this problem out, but I cannot. Please advise.

Can't access internal storage on stock roms based on .232 fw.

I have been trying the various stock based roms since i love the stock Xperience but after the .232 update, i can't access my internal storage using any file manager apps. nor titanium backup. I can see the used space and all in file managers as well as the Storage menu in settings. But when i open it, it says empty. I can also see it when connected to the computer as media storage and also access it via the computer. Its the problem in all stock .232 based roms for me. Is there anybody else with the same problem and a fix or is it just me?

Google camera vs stock one

Hi, do you notice difference in quality tacking landscape pics with Google camera than the stock ?

For me it seem to be more focused with the moto app than Google even with the touch to focus.. I see this in zooming into the pics...

And for me it seem that the Google camera uses more battery...

What are your feeling ???

Hello, folks, where is the best place to obtain malware free stock Samsung ROMs? There are two sites I've seen with stock* ROMS for my carrier, buy I'm not sure how safe they are? I've searched the forms and can't find a concise listing of the best sites to obtain stock ROMS from. Two sites I've see that I'm curious about are:

SELinux unlocked
Disabled protection does not allow to boot the OS(disabled at the level of Linux kernel)
Permissive mode is set automatically at boot (without the possibility to switch back to enforce)

Before installing the kernel required go to build.prop,find ro.securestorage.support and set the value to false. System may forget your WiFi passwords after flash custom kernel.

Need to unlock but flashed custom ROM, how to go back (stock = Rogers)

As mentioned, I need to go back to stock in order to unlock my phone but it has been a very long time since I have done anything techy to this phone. I know I needed an RUU file (which one?) and drivers but I also read about it failing in Windows 10. Can anyone advise how I can unlock my Rogers evita device?

hi guys i am struggling to unpack system.bin after extracting the stock rom with 7zip, i tried a few stock roms but it's the same, it gives an error
what's the best way to unpack tar.md5 and then extract system.img? i wish to make my own custom uk rom, could someone help me please, thank you.

Stock Note 3 randomly bootloops, help

My note 3 was rooted on oc1 for a few months, then about a month ago it started randomly rebooting during the day. Sometimes it would boot normally, other times it would bootloop until i cleared the cache multiple times. I then went into safestrap to clear the cache and dalvik, and that ended the random restarts for about a week until it started happening again. To make sure it wasnt the sd card, i swapped sd cards and even removed it entirely, still was getting random bootloops. I got rid of the root and reverted to 100% stock oc1 using the 4 odin tars, then i upgraded to oc2 stock. Still, i am getting bootloops even on a stock rom. What are my options?

Stock Camera on CM12.1

Is there any way to get stock or any better camera with updated drivers on CM 12.1 based ROMs because camera quality on CM is really pathetic and Camera is not fully functional like the features are in stock.
Anyone with proper guidance ?

Boot problems after stock flash

A friend of mine was running CM on her L720 and asked me to re-image it. I'm not sure what version of CM it was but it was definitely a 4.4.2 build. I tried to flash back to stock using Odin and FNG2 img. Odin reported that it passed but the phone won't boot. It displays the Galaxy logo for 5-6 seconds then goes black and nothing else happens. I can boot into download mode and recovery (CWM). I've tried reflashing and factory reset, but no luck. I have not flashed stock recovery back yet...could this be the issue? It seems like a logical next step but since I know little about troubleshooting these issues, I thought I'd better ask before I screw things up further. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
