Ruined my phone can't go into bootloader or recovery, wont even charge.

I got a phone from a family member that was a at&t note 2, it was freezing while charging and wasn't turning on. So I downloaded odin and OS for it knowing that that would probably fix it(but i could still go into recovery and the mode to use odin[drawing a blank on the name]), so I unpacked the zip file with the OS, downloaded the drivers, but with the new odin update they put two letter words and i didn;t know witch was witch until it was too late, i picked bootloader instead of PDA). and it failed installing like it would because i picked the wrong one. Now the phone won't even charge, or connect to the laptop or turn on. Is there anything i can do or is the phone SOL?

s2 wont turn on

i turned off my s2 while installing firmware through odin now its not turning back on and getting hot while plugged into charger but the charging icon not showing up plz help me with this

Ok just got replacement S6 edge had D0l1 firmware on it out the box...flashed unikernel in ODIN on it for root....booted just fine and had root...then flashed latest TWRP through ODIN tried to reboot into recovery Now phone won't boot. if I force a restart it does Sammy logo then a white flash real quick to black screen followed by a vibrate then just stays black. Only thing I can do is get it in DL mode.

Now I have tried to DL the D0l1 Firmware from 2 different sources on here at XDA so I can ODIN back to stock but can't get Odin to recongize the zip.....so I extracted the files then it recongized them but just hung forever on checking md5 sum. I am not a noobie when it comes to rooting and flashing and this is the deepest of trouble I have ever been in as far as Bricking a device. I have no clue what to do now???? Any help please!

Honestly, all I need is the D0l1 firmware which I cannot somehow get without it being a corrupt file

Xperia SP won't boot to bootloader

Hello all,

I rooted my Xperia SP and had installed the Cyanogenmod 11 (last stable-ish release, milestone or something) successfully.
After being encouraged by a co-worker that the nightly builds are pretty safe too, I installed a 12.1 nightly (can't remember which, though).
After that I couldn't reboot to bootloader any more to back up my phone.
I can select it in the reboot menu, but the phone will just cycle into a normal reboot and start Cyanogen.
Being brave I installed another nightly (current version: 12.1-20151010-NIGHTLY-huashan), hoping that would help.
It didn't, but luckily that version works, too.

Otherwise the phone works well, but I would like to be able to reboot into the bootloader to create a system backup, before I install more nightlies.

Rebooting into recovery works. However, have no backup option there.

To clarify: booting into bootloader is not necessarily what I want, it's the backup option that I'm after.
On the other hand, this not working properly is kind of a red flag, so I want to make sure nothing is going sideways...

Any advice would be much appreciated! :)

Help here! Moto g wont boot up! Hab check failed for boot

I unlocked the bootloader of my moto g and flashed it with 4.4.4 of Brazilian version thn updated to lollipop! Thn i planned to change my moto g to custom rom and tried but the recovery option always booted normally into the system! So I tried downgrading the mobile t with 4.4.4 Brazil version ! But hab check for boot is getting failed and moto g wont boot up but constantly restarting and showing android in stress! Help plz

WiFi won't connect on M

So... Tried searching and couldn't find the answer.

After updating to M using the factory images my N6 would no longer connect to my home WiFi anymore. It would see it - say connecting and sit on configuring IP forever.

Flashed back to stock 5.1.1 and it works again. Any ideas? The really liked M but the WiFi issue is a deal breaker for me.

Huawei watch won't get past spinning color boot screen

Watch was working great for a month, until this evening. Went to charge it, kept getting the white "Sorry, Android Wear has stopped" message. Pressed and held side button (while on charging dock) to reboot. Now it won't get past spinning color screen (After the Huawei brand screen). Is there a way to factory reset it while booting?

Galaxy TAB screen goes black and wont come back on

My son's tab 3 screen will not awake and has to be reset to come back on. The screen comes back on fine when reset but if it left for a while it wont awake and I can hear the water sound the tab makes when trying to open the screen but it does not come on, has anyone any idea what could be the problem.

Won't boot to system from TWRP

I rooted my phone, installed TWRP..Then, I booted into Recovery, and now I can't get out. I tried wiping cahce/dalvik cache, and it's not working. Tried to reboot with adb, neither that way.
However, I get a message:
sbin runatboot.sh process ended with error 1
Can someone help me?

LG G2 5.0.2 Won't root.

First of all i wanted to upgrade my LG G2 to the 5.1 Lollipop version, but LG PC Suit said an upgrade is not avaliable, any idea why?
Leaving that aside i wanted to root my LG which has 5.0.2 Android version, i used this root http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=869
but it was unsuccesful, it said that the device is not supported although i rooted it before i upgraded(4.2.2 to 5.0.2). I need the root because i want to change my rom to CM12
Any idea why this is happening? am I using the wrong root?

CM 12 won't install on H/K m8

I just had my m8 replaced from asurion and my old device was running cm 12 nightly builds just fine. My new device won't install any of the builds. The TWRP log says this package is meant for htc_m8, htc_m8whl, htc_mwl, m8, m8wl etc. but this device is m8_whl. It's the same exact model number it doesn't make any sense. Do i need to change the device name somehow or what? pls and thanks if you help.

[HELP] Phone won't charge.

First it stopped fast charging. I then later it would only charge sometimes and then accidentally dropped it and now it wont charge at all. I don't know what to do. I tried another note 4 charger and it won't charge on that either. I just got the phone last Feb and it broke already? Is there anything to try before I take it somewhere to be fixed?

Tried 2 note 4 fast chargers.
When the phone is off it sits on the screen with the battery and the thunderbolt but never charges or shows a charge %.

Please help. The phone is in a pelican case. It doesn't look damaged from the outside but I don't know about the inside.

Edit: As soon as I posted this I tried again and it charged with fast charger. I don't understand what is going on.

Won't enable USB debugging (already unlocked bootloader)

Ok so first time I unlocked the bootloader the process was straight forward and everything went great.

Now that twrp was released with the modded boot image, now I can't get my phone to be recognized.

When I type in adb devices it shows nothing. I tried turning off on usb debugging and tried MTP, PTP, Charging etc. Tried factory reset also and restarting laptop.

Any more suggestions? I never had a problem waiting for usb debugging allow option to click yes but I'm stuck right now

Computer won't detect OtterX

Awhile ago I wanted to change the ROM on my 1st gen Kindle, and get OtterX. Following the instructions given here, I made it all the way up to where you must push gapps and CM10, but my Kindle was never detected on my computer. I installed the Kindle Fire Utility 0.9.9 drivers and everything, but no computer I tried using would see the device as online.

I left it for a few months and now coming back to it, I unfortunately tinkered with it too much to figure out what the issue was. I activated the EMMC corruption fix because honestly I figured it couldn't be any worse then where it was now, but it didn't resolve anything. Now I can't boot into TWRP from OtterX menu, when I click that it sends me to fastboot mode. I'd push recovery and a ROM if my computer would be able to detect it but it unfortunately doesn't. I did some research and figured out how to disable driver signatures on my Windows 10 and managed to run install_drivers.bat and have that working, but now my computer is detecting my Kindle as Android ADB Interface with the yellow triangle under it. It's also listed under Android Phone.

I'd really appreciate any help I can get since being an idiot didn't help me out with this.

TWRP Nandroid backups of /data won't restore

None of my /data backups from the past month will restore. Instead, each restore will end with "extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR=255" (more from log below).

Here's the setup:
Recovery: Multirom TWRP (2015-06-30 2.8.7)
ROM: CM12.1 nightlies and more recently crDroid (CM12.1 based)
F2FS formatted /data, /cache, /sdcard

Here's what I've done to investigate:
1. Thinking the problem had to do with compressed backups, I uncompressed using Nandroid Manager. No difference.
2. Thinking the problem had to do with the backup being spread across multiple .win tar files, I concatenated them into one .win tar file. No difference.
3. Thinking that perhaps I could unarchive the tar and adb push the /data partition. It pushed fine and booted, however the davlik cache wasn't rebuilt when booting and the OS was unusable due to FC.
4. Thinking that I just needed to remove the files/directories that were throwing errors during restore, I used tar --delete to remove files/directory from the nandroid backup. This was somewhat successful in that the restore would progress further before failing, but it would just throw a similar error for another directory.

I haven't figured out why these backups won't restore, but I've thus far resorted to just restoring my most recent backup that will restore. The problem with this is that my future backups seem to have this same problem of not being restorable.

What to do?

Mototrola Moto G3 won't charge, volume down and power button don't work! Please help?

I tried to root my phone and did everything androidxda told me to do. I then accidentally pressed the power button and my phone turned on. It now doesn't charge, lock and the volume down doesn't work, everything else is fine. I was on step 12 of androidxda How to root Motorola Moto G (2015) when this happened! Can anyone please help me?

Volume Notification wont automatically disappear - am I missing a trick?

Since Marshmallow I have noticed that if I adjust the audio in for example a video, the pop down volume notification wont automatically disappear unless I press the screen.

This is pretty annoying as this causes some videos to pause or other screens to pop up.

Has anyone else noticed this, and if so, is there a simple fix?

Help!!!! Phone won't switch on or wont get charged!!!!!!!!!

So, recently this problem occurred a few weeks ago, i took it to a nearby repair shop, they said it was some battery problem and repaired it. but today, the exact same problem happened again, i was just charging the phone and when i looked at it, it won't switch on!!! after removing it from the charger the led wont die, and it gets really hot after some time.

I changed the rom a few months back, so it cant be that because the rom was quite stable

is it the charger??

has this happened to anybody else?

is there a solution???

Also, i dont have windows, so there's no use in telling me a remedy that requires windows, also the phone is quite old, maybe 2 years.

Free Mp3 downloading apps won't work on new phone! Help!!

I used to use music paradise download pro on my droid maxx hd. Now I have a new droid turbo rooted on 4.4.4 and none of the music downloading apps will work at all on my phone. Is there something blocking it that I could freeze or something? I loved music paradise pro and now I don't know how to operate without it.

Samsung Edge + won't skip the initial setup

So I got my Samsung edge + 3 weeks ago. It was working perfectly fine, until one day I screwed up by touching the finger sensor in the wrong position which then led to the phone asking me for my back up password. and guess what? I forgot it. So I did a factory reset to it. and in the initial setup where you pick the language, it keeps asking me to establish an internet connection. It connects to my wifi normally but then gives me a message saying "no internet access", and I can't skip it. If I put in my simcard, it would pass that stage but then goes to " establishing connection", I wait for several minutes and then it gives the same message "no internet access". the skip button in the bottom right corner does not work also. I used odin to flash my phone with the latest firmware. I followed all the instructions and the flashing was a success, but when my phone turned on, it still had the same problem.

Oh and my phone model is SM-G928c.

Please save my ass
