Flashed marshmallow V20A update, software version has not changed.

I flashed the new Marshmallow rom from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/d...s-kdz-t3232282
It worked, but there are some details which do confuse me.
When I booted up, I still had all of my apps installed and configured (like nova launcher for example). I even got greeted by the knock code lockscreen, which I have been using before. But I was forced to change that in the end.
I wiped system, dalvik cache and cache. To start with a clean Marshmallow rom. But that did not happen. :confused:

Software version says "V10c-EUR-XX", but it should be "V20a-EUR-XX". Right?

At last I have Marshmallow and I have not encountered any problems in running so far. Even though my old rom was rooted. I have been using xposed, which is still installed with all modules, but not active.

I merely wanted to know what I made wrong and if I am missing anything by having an older software version.
Should I have wiped more than only system, dalvik cache and cache?

I have just setup kitchen and I am trying make my first custom rom from G900FXXU1BOJ1_VDI for Galaxy s5 SM_G900F
kitchen is asking to set current api level which is saying is level 17 (Android 4.2.2)
this rom G900FXXU1BOJ1 is for Android 5.0 which is api 21,
Android 5.1 is api 22 and Android 6.0 is api 23,
so my question
is there any point in setting the api level higher than 21

What is the correct version of Google Play Service for Micromax Unite 2 Lollipop 5.0?

A cousin's Micromax Unite 2 was recently upgraded to Lollipop and rooted. To save application space I tried to integrate the updated Play Services into system partition using Link2SD. But this caused the disappearance of Play Services from list of installed applications. I tried installing a version from another phone (which is actually KitKat 4.4.4) and that resulted in Play Services force closing and various applications including Play Store not opening.

Installing and integrating an .apk from apkmirror for Lollipop did not result in success. It still is not opening or force closes.

I understand that after Lollipop there are multiple versions of Play Services depending on individual phones.

Please suggest me the correct version for Micromax Unite 2 on Lollipop firmware.

Latest Chrome Version Disables Touchpad and USB Mouse

Interesting behaviour...

Docked TF701T - Kitkat 4.4.2 (stock, not rooted)
Chrome - 46.0.2490.76

It appears that running the above version of Chrome will cause my keyboard dock touchpad mouse, and any USB attached mouse, to get disabled. Indeed, writing this makes me think that the dock has nowt to do with it, but the mouse interrupt handling area of Android is being messed with by Chrome.

Has anyone else seen this?

The behaviour appears to be that everything works fine for a brief moment while Chrome loads up, but after an undetermined amount of time (of the order of a few seconds), the mouse interrupts (I'm guessing) no longer get handled. The mouse stops responding to input, and, eventually, the mouse pointer disappears, never to reappear again (the pointer disappearing isn't directly a symptom - it's simply disappearing as expected in the absense of any mouse input).

Toggling the enable/disable touchpad key has no effect. However, undocking the keyboard, then re-docking brings the mouse back again for a brief period before the interrupts get ignored/blocked after a few moments.

Disabling Chrome seems to prevent this issue from arising (writing this using the stock Browser instead) and the mouse pointer is still happy...

I've not tried the dev or beta versions of Chrome yet.

[1.127.0827] New version of Gear Fit Manager!

I had intalled version 1.117 from Galaxy Apps repository and it worked perfectly on my GT-I9000 with CM11 and build.prop modified with S4 data. But now a notification shows up telling I need to update to 1.127, but this new version doesn't work, probably due to Touchwiz dependencies (an error related to CSCFeatures class is shown in logcat). My Gear Fit firmware version is R350XXU0BOA2

Can anyone patch this last version (1.127.0827) for non samsung mobiles (touchwiz free)? :confused:

HTC one M8_WHL H/K sprint version no OS showing in bootlooder.

I bought this new HTC one m8 few days back, it was in kitkat so i tried the Software update thing, but it keeps searching it for hours then I tried to flash ROMs and then i messed up in TWRP. I accidentally deleted everything without any backup. I tried to flash CM12.1 (not nightly)+ gapps, the logo of cm appears and after that my phone auto reboot and same thing is happening again and again. What i did so far is, i changed my CID, I unlocked my device, tried flashing many ROMs like SkyDragon, and also tried many RUU.zip/RUU.exe files but non of them work. When i tried to open zip files it says cannot open the file/ file maybe damaged or corrupted. I can get into recovery(TWRP 2.8...) I tried to flash through SD but after showing successfully done I get back to this white HTC screen again.

Can I use the USA version in the UK?

Hi guys. I think I have my heart set on the 6P (over the 5X). I can get my hands on one from the States but I live in the UK. Will I have any usability issues at all? I did see a thread that listed the connectivity channels and the USA version has less channels on LTE and UMTS than the rest of the world version; will this affect me using it in the UK?

Is there anything else I should be aware of when getting a phone from the USA but living in and using it only in the UK?

Which version of Android is best for my S4?

So I'm looking into rooting my phone, but then that sparked another question for myself as I'm seeing different root software for different versions of Android. Now, coming from an iPhone I used to make the terrible mistake of updating the OS and eventually that killed my phone because the software was too much for the hardware to handle.

That being said, I want to make sure I don't make the same mistake with my Samsung S4. Currently I have Android Version 4.4.2, is this a solid version? Do I want to upgrade to 5.0.1 or will that just slow my phone down iPhone style, or should I downgrade? I could really care less about features, I just want a clean minimalist OS.

hi. i havr droid razr xt912 maxx and im using it.. its kinda bulky. and also i have a xt912 not maxx and its not working. its has a brandnew battery though i use it for a while coz the phine itself cannot open.

i have G9287 rooted and very keen to have my International Stock keyboard from G928F ( i want Thai Language). The stock samsumg keyboard in G9287 is Chinese version and has no Thai language. I try everyway like push apk and set permission and it just force close, i found flashable zip from Note4 flashable zip but it small on the device. I am thinking to buy a 32gb(price of 64gb is crazy) version but I am not sure will it be enough. Now I am using Galaxy Alpha with 32gb, usually I have some trance sets, play hearthstone, NFS No limits, Eternity Wariors 4 and make a lot photos of my kids + few films.
I have around 7gb space free at the moment so I do not feel that it is to small. How's the thing with edge+? Any of you(32gb owners) have problems with storage?
