Any comments are highly appreciated.

Software update registration failed after odin flash.

Hey guys i was using cm 12.1 on my i9500 then i flashed back to stock rom .. i removed all mods ,root and everything and did a clean install via odin.. everything is working fine but i'm unable to register to software update ... I'm sure i installed the correct firmware because it worked for me last time ... i want this to work because i broke its sim card slot and i need to get back my warranty before i go to the care.. Thanks !

Here's what i tried so far
- factory reset
-reboot
-i also tried downloading other stock firmware and i have the same error.

And in download mode it says ODIN mode .. does this have anything to do with it ? ill post some screenshots now.

Asus flash tool 1.0.0.11 - Unzip image failure

So I recently unrooted my zenfone c, and my phone was behaving wierd (wifi connected but no internet, default file browser of phone shows nothing inside: absolute blank, connects to PC but doesn't show in my computer, tells camera does not exist...) and so I decided to flash the stock rom again, I downloaded the stock rom from asus, and the flash tool from the net. Now when I follow the instructions say ..............here->............(asus.com/zentalk/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=14894&extra=page%3D1% 26filter%3Dtypeid%26typeid%3D231), the following error comes up in the flash tool while pressing the start button

!- I did not use the rom specified in the above linked page, but downloaded seperately from asus website. what may be the problem... I am new so can't post screen shots from links, so here is just the link ...........plus.google.com/photos/107799030761055081656/albums/6209484049893645089/6209484057280146242?pid=6209484057280146242&oid=10 7799030761055081656............

I was also thinking about using sideload from ADB, but given the error, I think the file(stock rom) has some problem... and the other one is that I don't know where my ADB exists, amidst about a 2Million folders, I am on vista, so you can think how does the search work, if any one can help me regarding this that would be great. I don't know much about android studio yet, and I uninstalled eclipse IDE from my PC, that is why I am having problem finding ADB folder.

Also I am new here (at XDA) so please forgive my first time errors like wrong forums and such :)
Thank You To everyone in advance

Screen failure after flash update of ROM

I made a nandroid backup and the reflashed my ROM (Jasmine 9.0 and 9.1) and the debloat script on TWRP 2.8.7.0. Wiped cache. Reboot system.

Now the screen doesn't come on. LG logo doesn't appear. Don't know what I'm doing now.

The ROM boots which I can tell by the LED cycle and it optimized apps, made the phone plugged in sound on boot. If I double tap the digitizer, the LED lights up to pretend the screen came on. Seems like the display is dead but the phone is working and booting. Is this even possible by software? I want to get into recovery and flash a KDZ, but Verizon made that difficult and I can't see at all what I'm doing.

HTC One M8 Softbricked and Unable to Flash

Hi, A friend gave me a Verizon HTC One M8 that was softbricked by a failed attempt to root or modify the device. I am unable to find out what the original owner did to the phone.

The phone will get stuck on the HTC logo for approximately two minutes and then reboot. I can get into the bootloader no problem, but the recovery and the factory wipe options go to the HTC logo and then get stuck at a black screen with the backlight on for approximately two minutes before rebooting. The command "fastboot oem rebootRUU" goes to the same HTC logo for approximately two minutes before rebooting, fastboot is unable to see the phone in this mode.

Because the bootloader is locked and cannot be unlocked because it is a Verizon, and the phone is S-ON, I am unsure how to fix the phone.

I have attempted to use RUU from a microsd card numerous times with the RUU images from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/veri...605-2-t2883845. the 4.4.4 one appears to complete successfully, but still bootloops after restarting.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Can anyone help a newbie with the best rom to flash?

Oh, so I have an Xperia tablet z spg321 Lte on 5.1.1
It's driving me nuts as I need root so that I can use keymapping and six axis apps for remote play. So far I have figured out how to unlock the bootloader using flashtool. Now I need to know what the best rom to flash is, preferably pre rooted.
Also it would be good if the rom was ftf format for use with flashtool, as I don't feel confident enough for command line flashing. What I have in mind is something that is just a straight easy flash and done. Can anyone advise me and point to me to where to get the rom files.

lost my usb storage during twrp flash

I have no USB storage when in TWRP, hence i can't wipe/flash/restore....here is how i got where I am!
Started with my bone stock OPT 64GB on Oxygen 2.1.1.
in developer options i enabled boot loader unlock
unlocked my boot loader [fastboot oem unlock]
restarted into tarp and installed SuperSU
wiped and factory reset, rebooted and setup and all is well....except...

I decided to factory reset again about 20 minutes later and all wipes failed. So i can not factory reset.
downloaded the factory signed zip to my usbstorage and rebooted into tarp, but there is no usb...no mounts. I though well mount it, but sorry, nothing to mount...
So it appears I have lot my mount points.

I was really hoping that OnePlus had posted a big archive of there OS with an install.bat file, but i can't find it.

Anyone know where its hiding>??
(i will edit this as i get more info together)

You guy and gals all rock.

Boot problems after stock flash

A friend of mine was running CM on her L720 and asked me to re-image it. I'm not sure what version of CM it was but it was definitely a 4.4.2 build. I tried to flash back to stock using Odin and FNG2 img. Odin reported that it passed but the phone won't boot. It displays the Galaxy logo for 5-6 seconds then goes black and nothing else happens. I can boot into download mode and recovery (CWM). I've tried reflashing and factory reset, but no luck. I have not flashed stock recovery back yet...could this be the issue? It seems like a logical next step but since I know little about troubleshooting these issues, I thought I'd better ask before I screw things up further. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

Solved Boot Loop After Factory Flash Build mdb08i in fastboot on my Nexus 5X

Hi guys,

I was getting boot loop every time I tried to factory flash mdb08i from https://developers.google.com/androi...s/images?hl=en on my Nexus 5X. I flashed this build more than 5 times and let the device run 20+ minutes during boot animation.

I generally used method 2 from Nexus 5 tutorial since that was the tutorial I used on my Nexus 5:

Code:

fastboot flash bootloader C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\bootloader.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\radio.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash system C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\system.img
fastboot flash userdata C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\userdata.img
(Note: this command will wipe your device (including \sdcard), EVEN if your bootloader is already unlocked.)
fastboot flash boot C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\boot.img
fastboot flash recovery C:\image-hammerhead-krt16m\recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash cache C:\androidimage\cache.img

However, the missing piece that solved my boot loop was to also run this command at the very end

Code:

fastboot flash vendor vendor.img

I normally have a batch script that runs all the commands for me.

How I found out about flashing vendor.img:
I found this issue only after I factory flashed mdb08i that I accidentally immediately flashed chainfire's modified mdb08i boot image for enabling root. After flashing chainfire's modified mdb08i, my Nexus 5X passed the boot animation but gave "Internal device error". So I looked up the error and found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexu...xus-9-t3112827

I also tried other methods as mentioned in this thread but no luck with it on my end but perhaps will help others: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexu...image-t2527382

Hope this help others who are also stuck on boot loop after flashing mdb08i on their Nexus 5X.

Unable to flash from 4.4.2 to stock or rooted Lollipop

I tried what I was advised here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note...8423?nocache=1

I can successfully flash it but Kit Kat still boots up every time. I don't know what to do. Maybe twrp? How do I do that.
May also be relevant that I cannot seem to boot into recovery to do the fixes after I flash. 4.4.2 stil comes up.

Cheers!

If i flash stock rom with odin, i lose twrp right?

I flashed twrp 2860 onto my jp softbank s6 edge sm925Z. 5.0.2 android.
I want to remove this bloatware trash.

Is there a way for me to backyp my current firmware
And then try another countrys firmware with odin, from the samsung
Firmware page?

Samsung does not release the jp softbank sm925z firmware.

So my question is, . . .
If i flash chinese firmware i will lose TWRP right?
Then i can not return to my backup stock rom. Because no twrp.

So i would need to hope i can reinstall twrp on the chinese rom right?

If i try other firmwares, i will lose wifi and cellular service right?

Is there a way for me to change or insert my wifi cellular partition information
To new roms or firmwares?

How to access a datatraveler encrypted flash drive from my android phone?

I have an encrypted Kingston datatraveler USB flash drive. To access one of these you have to run the program on the drive (Windows software) to open the "vault". I'm wondering if there is a way to access this drive via OTG on my Galaxy s5. No nefarious purposes here--I would just like to use the flash drive. I don't want to get around the security, I want to keep that. I'm sure I could connect it to a Windows PC and get at it via Wifi, but I'm positing a case in which I have only the OTG cable, the flash drive, and my phone.

[TUTORIAL][GUIDE][HOW TO] Flash Factory Images || Unroot

Heya Nexus 5X Users,

In this thread, I'll help you to flash factory images on your nexus 5x. This process will wipe your device, so please BACKUP YOUR DATA before going through the flashing process.

You can backup your data from some well-known apps from Play Store

- Titanium Backup (Root)
- Super Backup (Non-root)
- Helium (Non-root) etc

Failing to Flash PIT

Hey Guys,

I am having an issue installing a pit file via Odin 3.10. Regular AP (ROM Firmware) flash normally and pass. So it cannot be a driver, or cable issues... I need to re-partition my G900T in order to completely wipe the phone. It is having issues with the stock rom (randomly resetting itself).

<code>

<ID:0/005> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/005> Initialzation..
<ID:0/005> Set PIT file..

<ID:0/005>
<ID:0/005> Re-Partition operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
</code>

I got the pit file from a well reputed XDA Thread. So I do not think it is corrupted or nothing like that.

LG G4 H815 Marshmallow Flash Query

I found the Polish version of LG G4 marshmallow and I was wondering if it's possible to flash my LG g4. It's listed under the same category as mine, the only difference is, mine is Europe general, and the Polish version just says Polish. I want to know if it'll end up in a bad flash basically. The link is here.

My current software version is 10D-EUR
