Quick question.

It's been a while since I've upgraded, actually.. I haven't ever since I've been on T-Mobile.
Still using my Nexus 4. When I first got that phone I had to input a bunch of data on the T-Mobile website like the phone IMEI or whatever..
When I get my 6P will I need to do all of that or can I just pop my sim in and go? Will I need to set up an APN or anything?

Kinda Noobish Question

I'm currently running a 6.0 Custom Rom, It's SinLess 9.1.0 to be exact.

My question is this. Would it be okay to flash a 5.1.1 Rom now(I want to try the Dirty Unicorns build), since I'm on 6.0. Or can I only flash 6.0 Roms? I just got this phone, and I came from the ATT Note 4 which had a locked bootloader. I know a little bit about custom roms and flashing from previous phones, but not as much as I'd like to know. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

1. Is it possible to flash any partition of phone with its battery removed?
2. Is it posiible to flash a phone when it is turned off (with battery inside)?

When I was using a iPhone for a bit with jailbreak I could download some tweaks like..

Adding a download funtion into the stock YouTube app

Reverting to the old theme of youtube

Or download option in instagram stock app

I know there are 3rd party apps but is there any mods or tweaks where I can download videos in the stock app on the note 5?

Hi all.
I want to ask some question because I'm not sure if this is normal or not.
I have see four edge+ for now and all of them have the same issue.
On sunlight and only there with full white font or some other very light color and max brightness
you can see some darker marks on the screen like humidity. But it's not easy to located.
Some guy replace the phone with new other and again have the same issue.
I know the edge screen is very soft and particular. But this you can see only with sunlight. With normal daylight or led or other situation there seems absolutely nothing.
Your opinion will be useful for me.

Newbie Question - Does Rapid/Quick Charge technology only work when the phone is on?

On all my previous phones, I used to turn the phone completely off when charging.

Did the same for my first 5x charge up, but noticed after 20 minutes in phone-off-charging-state when I checked the white battery icon, it wasn't showing it was filled up at all. Strange.

So I turn the phone on, it shows it's charging, but only got to 5% from a completely drained battery.

This didn't seem right, so I left the phone on for 20 more minutes where it specifically stated "rapid charging". It shot from 5% -> 31%. Let it keep doing it's thing and 20 minutes later it went from 31% -> 75% with an estimated 23 minutes left. Impressive if it really would go from 5% -> 100% in about an hour.

So, does rapid charging only initiate with the phone on? Or, is that first 5% just a natural long charge area of the battery and the phone woulda hit high-gear-rapid-charging if I left it off the whole time?

Google voice question

Maybe someone here can give me a hand. recently (about a week after installing MM) my google voice has stopped prompting me pre call to select it or standard number to make calls.
Its selected to ask every time, the stock phone dialer has not had a default set to clear, and Ive tried reinstalling voice.

Is anyone else having this issue? Have they and found a solution. I like it to ask every time because I use both numbers for different things.

Question about editing

So, I wanna edit my lock screen and notification panel, and drop down, system colors, etc. The only way I know how to is by using different ROMS. I've tried a couple of them but currently like the one I began with. So, is there another way to edit these?

Dell Venue Pro phone Wifi problem and question

Hello!

Just got a unused Dell Venue Pro Windows Phone smartphone(thought about using it as a secondary phone)
and I have problems: the phone doesnt find any secured wifi, it finds my Android phones Hotspot, but it doesnt find my work Wifi.
(I read about this problem, something about not finding secure wifi networks on first batch of phones...) any way to fix it? I really need to get this phone on a wifi network..
I updated the phone trough PC, but the WIFI issue is still there...

and the question: Any custom ROMs or something avaiable? (In hope, that it could fix the Wifi issue)

I have seen many famous Roms on this site showing older 5.0.2 history versions on google, but when
I follow those links, they redirect to the updated 5.1.1 versions.

Please post and Sticky any 5.0.2 ROMS for S6 Edge below. (There are people who still need them..)
I can not find any working download links. My Japan Softbank carrier did not update to 5.1.1.
I need 5.0.2 Roms please. I see history of them on google. I can find no such working download links.

Samsung Galaxy core prime. Noob question.

Hi y'all . I have aquestion regarding my phone Samsung Galaxy core prime. From metro It's on 5.1.1 . I got no access to pc in any formal way and I'm stuck on bootloop. I got this as a honestly a garbage coz she broke it and can't fix it . I believe it's not rooted. Is there anyway I could restore the phone to its stock firmware with no means of using a PC. ?
Oh and by the way I mean to restore it to stock using the stock recovery

Wife's M8 charging question

When she took the latest update on her M8 only a HTC charger will charge the phone. If she uses any other charger it can't keep up and charges very slow or a window pops up saying the charger in use can't keep up. So what was in the latest update that caused this. As before the update she could use any of the chargers we had laying around.

Hi all... i currently have a rooted htc sensation with cyanogenmod 11...with all the battery drain issues...i disabled all the google play stuff etc etc...still crappy...anyways i digress...

im looking to purchase the cubot x15... and i realise that cant be rooted at present...here is my newb question.....can i still install downloaded cracked apks? eg tomtom on a non rooted phone?

sorry for asking what some will see as a dumb question.....i just dont want to buy a phone and not be able to run tomtom on it.... without buying tomtom :) thanks

I Have the SM G925Z Version of the galaxy s6 Edge [Japan SoftBank]

I See many Roms that say "Works with many g925 Versions !" but the Japanese Z Version is never listed anywhere.
only the F T U V P etc etc versions.

If I use TWRP 2.8.6.0 to backup my current Rom, can I try these other Roms and safely return to my Stock Rom
if cell or wifi service stop working? If I try 5.1.1 Roms, I can not return to 5.0.2 roms?

Can I use TWRP to install a 5.1.1 rom that I download, even while my current Rom is 5.0.2 ?
or can I only install Roms using Odin Flash tool ?
My ZTE Warp phone was able to install Roms from downloaded Zip files with TWRP.
But I am not 100 % sure about the process.

Question on Unlocking bootloader

So if I want to unlock the bootloader on day 1, I just have to boot into fastboot mode, plug into my computer, start adb, and then run "fastboot oem unlock"? I've never had a nexus before so I'm not sure if this is the right procedure.
