Making calls sometimes takes two attempts

I looked through the forums and could not find anything on this that is recent. If I missed something I apologize for the re-post.

What I am experiencing is rather annoying. I start most of my phone calls in one of 3 ways. 1) from the contact/missed/recent screens in the dialer app, 2) from the contact info screen, as access by Textra (my preferred texting app), or 3) voice command.

Regardless of how I start the call, more times than not I am greeted with the call about to start (in other words the dialer opens and the number is present along with the contact info) then the dialer will close. Then I try again by either swiping from the contact list, or sending the voice command again and the call dials.

I am not rooted, on the latest 5.0.1.

Any ideas?

HOX+ with latest Elegancia (stock look) cant make calls

long time lurker, first time poster.
I just flashed my old UK Vodafone HTC One X+ with Elegancia (latest version, stock look) and all seems fine apart from making calls. The radio bars show connection (although it does drop out at times) but when you dial it hangs for a few seconds then beeps and drops. When first setting it up i did get a notification from virgin asking if i want the usual mms set up etc but not sure if this took hold or not

Ive sniffed around the forums but cant find much specific to my issue.
Bad rom install? Radio issue?
Greatful for any help

I was (as always) playing with my note ii flashing etc. Loved resurection rom which was working ok. BUT something happened and now i can hear the phone ringing ok when someone calls me BUT when anwsered i cant hear nothing ! Tried headphones no luck.. Flashed quite a few roms, modems and ril and the best result was ... No carrier...
Could this be hardware?software?
Anyway to completely return to stock mode eg modem.ril.rom etc flashing 100%? Tried flashing official rom with odin no luck..
Plz help...

Found a fix for the Moto E problem with one sided phone calls

A common and unsolved problem with the Moto E is apparently calls that connect but cannot be heard without using speakerphone or a third party speaker system. (i.e. headphones). I had this problem and the only "solution" I could find was to reset your phone. I didn't like this option so I messed around with the settings on my phone and found the setting that was causing the problem.
I don't know if it will work for you, but for me the solution was this simple.

open up Settings then navigate to Accessibility then turn off the Power button ends call option.

Hope it helps others out there who had the same problem.

Can't Make Calls After installing Custom ROM [SPH-L710] [Straight Talk]

A few months ago I tried flashing CM's 4.4.4 ROM, shortly there after I re-activated my Sprint phone on Straight Talk - could not get the phone to register on their network no matter what I tried.
Finally went back to a stock d2spr ROM and put in a ##nnn# code and it registered and I was able to make calls. Couldn't use the SD card for hardly any apps, it ran slow, and couldn't use the hotspot feature.

Brings me to now, I installed PAC-ROM LP MR1 and installed just fine, but again - can't make any calls. Network bars show a !
Every time I try to make a call it says the code I have dialed is invalid.
I have scoured the boards and cannot find anything that makes sense.
Can anyone give me an idea what I am doing wrong?

Random hot-reboot while making/receiving calls after 5.1.1 upgrade

After upgrading to the latest rom (5.1.1) I've been experiencing random hot-reboots while making/receiving calls. I have tried repair install through PC Companion and factory reset couple of times with no success. After each re-install the problem goes away for couple of days and then comes back. As time goes by it gets worse and I have no clue what else to do. My phone is not rooted and have locked bootloader. I am currently on stock rom 14.6.A.0.368/R1D.
I would appreciate any help in this regard. :crying:

P.S. Whenever this happens, after the reboot, there is no log of the missed call. Diagnostics section in About phone > Diagnostics only ads another incident to "System incidents" count with no details.

Microphone cutting out during Speakerphone calls

Dear all,

As stated in the subject line, I am experiencing issues with the mic while on speaker. So this is happening whenever I used the speakerphone. It will work fine(ie the other side can hear me talk) but after awhile, it will stop working(the other side cannot hear). I will then have to take it off speaker and put it back on. That seems to work. This happens during normal mobile calls and also whatsapp calls. Unfortunately, when trying to record something with Audio Recorder, I haven't hit that issue, and it was recording for more than 4 minutes.

Has anybody else run into this problem? I am running a completely stock Note 5 out of the box, on 5.1.1.

Why does Samsung Pay need access to make phone calls and read/send text messages?

Not that I particularly care but I think it's a little strange that this app in particular needs access to all of this stuff. Am I downloading the correct app and/or are there "fake" samsung pay apps on the play store I need to watch out for?

Edit: Guess this is a moot point for now - only have Wells Fargo, none of the other banks approved to work.
