Missing screen mirroring on non rooted note 5 on sprint SOLVED!

Ok on my non rooted note 5 on sprint the instructions about going to the settings and edit and select screen mirroring don't work, as IT'S NOT there. To enable it, take a picture, go to the album, select the picture, hit share, at the bottom click screen mirroring. Way to go Samsung and Sprint. I'm pretty sure that this is either the result of the last update or Sprint.

Screen mirroring without wifi

I have always been able to perform screen mirroring from my Android phone to Chromecast without WiFi. The initial setup required a second phone, but after that all I had to do was to enable WiFi hotspot in my cell phone, open Chromecast APP and activate screen mirroring. A few days ago Google released a new version of Chromecast APP that checks if WiFi is connected before enabling screen mirroring. This new APP made my setup not work anymore. Does anyone have a solution, other than keeping the APP in the previous version? Thanks in advance!

MHL Cable/Screen Mirroring

Just got it, but would like to watch movies on my TV. I have chromecast but i wanted a wired solution to eliminate any lag.

I know the phone has MHL 3.0, but I have a 5 year old Samsung non-smart TV.

which MHL cables can I use? My only requirement is that the MHL adapter should NOT need power. Basically looking for something like the iPhone HDMI/Lighting adapter, or the Samsung MHL 2.0 cables that didn't require power.

Thanks in advance.

Screen mirroring doesn't work on my Samsung tv.....

Hi,

I have a dlna Samsung tv connected on my local network and the option screen mirroring of my tablet doesn't find my tv.

I am surprised because it does work with my two other Android devices.

For info I don't have any chrome cast...

Anybody else encounters this issue?

I am rooted and on Android 5.11.

It says "hardware problem"...
