[Q] Alcatel Onetouch Pop Astro? (5042T)

I have been coming to this site for a very long time, was a huge CM user back when I had the HTC G2. I hope I posted this in the right section, as I havent really made my own posts before here, so if not im truly sorry and hope it can be placed in the right section without punishment :).

Now Ive done a alot of searching here about this device and unless im doing something wrong, I cant seem to find much at all on it. It was released april of this year I guess, but I just recently aquired one, which comes with stock 4.4.4 (KitKat). I have rooted this device successfully, but I am unable to find any custom recovery (unsure if CWM or TWRP will work, a little nervous about trying to install and mess the device up lol) that would work on this device, much less any custom roms or anything at all on XDA. I'm actually suprised that there isn't a Thread dedicated to this device as its actually very nice.

So anyway, I was just hoping maybe someone involved with development on this site could possibly look into this device and maybe this device could get some attention and maybe some community support so some custom stuff could start coming out for it? Its a nice device and would love to see it have its own section here at XDA, thats all :).

Anyway, sorry to bore everyone with this thread, just trying to bring the Alcatel Onetouch Pop Astro to the light here is all.

Thanks! [emoji6]

[Q] Help flashing Alcatel C7 that boots automatically when plugging the USB

Hello,
During the past days I've been trying to flash my C7 with no success. When pressing power button, it turns on and displays the Alcatel logo but stays there, it does not load the OS.

I have tried to use SPtools to flash it, I have the mtk drivers installed in my PC. When I plug the switched-off phone to the computer it turns on and couple seconds after my PC detects it (I can see the preloader mtk loaded on the device manager); however, one second right after it is detected, it is disconnected as it keeps booting to show the logo and stay there. Obviously, if the phone is not detected I cannot use SPtools to flash it.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

PS: I have also tried to connect to it with adb, and dump a ROM using sideload with no sucess, the PC recognizes it from the recovery but after copying the image nothing new happens on reboot.

I need urgent help! ALCATEL QDLOADER QS-9008.

Hello good afternoon!
It is the first time I post in this forum (although it has always been very helpful to me and I follow closely)
Please apologize for my English!

I've been trying to relive my days as Alcatel Pop 2 (5042nd)

To try to solve this problem, I searched for some forums (in English and Chinese) and found a baseband did flasher file.
After flashearle the baseband, the team rekindled when connected to the PC and I recognized him as ALCATEL QDLOADER QS-9008.
I can not find any place for a solution after days of exhausting search.
Someone who can give me some advice about how desbrickear my phone (if possible) PLEASE! I need it urgently!!! I took 5 days, and no cell

TCL (Alcatel) 3S M3G, Snapdragon 615, 1080p, $160

http://www.mobiletechasia.com/?p=2858

TCL, also known as Alcatel, has released their new phone, the TCL 3S M3G for 0. Check out the specs below and click on the link for more info and to purchase it.

http://goo.gl/HdD7n9

5" Sharp Display, 1920x1080
Snapdragon 615 Processor
2GB RAM, 16GB Storage
8MP Front camera, 13MP Back Camera
Android 5.0 Lollipop
3000mAh battery
Dual SIM, MicroSD
Fingerprint Sensor

I'm expecting decent battery life, a great screen since Sharp's Triluminos displays look amazing. I'm a little worried about the Snapdragon 615 though, knowing it's issues with performance and overheating, hopefully TCL can deal with that.
