ATT XT1097 No Root Bootloop

The other night my AT&T Moto X 2nd Generation died before I could get to a charger. When I charged it up, it would try to boot up again and again and it would just go to the first screen with the Motorola logo in the blue circle. I put it in fastboot mode and tried to boot up that way, but same result. So then I tried recovery mode and wiping the data and factory resetting it, but that wouldn't exactly work either. It would start to erase everything, but then it would just display the green robot with the red triangle above, no text below it. After it sat there for a second the screen would start to flicker until I touched the button to go back to recovery mode. Back in recovery mode it displayed the error message. So bottom line is, it won't boot up and I haven't rooted it or unlocked the bootloader. What direction do I need to go in?

P.S. -- I also haven't updated it since early this year, so it may not be running the newest version of lollipop. Here's a few pieces of information

This may be a simple fix but I just can't seem to find the right information for me. I just need to get this phone back up and running.
