Bluetooth woes

Has anyone experienced issues with Bluetooth devices? I have 2 devices (that are somewhat obscure) that I'm having problems with. First, what does work:

1) Beats Wireless Headphones
2) Bluetooth in my car
3) Unify Roverbeats (For bluetooth via A/V receiver that doesn't have it built-in.
4) Fitbit Surge (Had a little trouble getting it paired initially, but it's been fine since.)

The two items I'm having the trouble with are:
1) Omron 7 Series Wrist (BP654) Blood pressure cuff.
2) Vicks SmartTemp Bluetooth thermometer.

I have gotten both to pair, though it seems to be hit and miss. Once I need to actually use them, though, I'm having little to no success in getting the phone to see them. Unfortunately, I have to take both my BP and Temp every 3 hours (due to recently diagnosed, extremely rare immune system disorder.) This would be a deal-break for me, with the Blu Pure XL, it I didn't have 2 other android tablets I can use. However, I'd sure like to have these working on the phone! (BTW, they all worked seamlessly on my LG G4.)

Has anyone else experienced bluetooth issues with the Pure XL?

Nexus 6 battery woes and how I overcame it

So I purchased a phone off craigslist in NY, (The phone itself doesn't have a scratch on it) for 0. Seemed like a reasonable deal, so I gave the guy the money, gave the phone a good one over and I was on my way, Of course he neglected to mention that it had a bad battery (turns off if I used the camera or if it drops below 65%, battery swell that caused the back plate to protrude, bla bla bla), I should have realized the sighs as per below.

1. Ensure trust: He ran out to check on his double parked car and left his wallet right in front of me (in a Starbucks).
2. Deceit: He claimed to sell phones as a side gig but offered to purchase my old scratched note 3.
3. Bull ****: Though I'm just a simple technical specialist at my job, he made feel like I was the man. He claims to have his own design firm with pending patents holding him back at the moment.

I had the itch and it clouded my better judgment, fortunately I purchased a replacement battery from eBay for , followed some simple instructions on YouTube, 45 minutes later some superflex glue, a screw driver (T3 or T4 not sure I have a complete set) and all is well. The screws in this phone are in very tight so those cheap sets will not cut it.

i9300 Back To N00t ROM, MHL OTG woes :(

Hi people, Ive been enjoying a few custom ROMS and their own little nuances and found myself ditching CM for Back To N00t due to its MHL compatibility. I can use my standard USB OTG cable with no problems but I have an MHL cable with built in USB port - the HDMI connects fine but no USB devices are recognised :( The cable works fine on 4.3 stock ROM.

Any ideas or fixes are much appreciated as without that USB OTG port working the MHL cable is semi useless for what I need it for.
