I'm considering upgrading from the VK810 to the VK815, and when looking at the specifications all over the Internet, it shows that the VK810 has GLONASS reception but the VK815 doesn't. Since much(most? all?) of the specs on the Internet are simply copies of data from another site, my question is, did LG leave it out of the device, or just the specs?
One sure way to find out, is for someone with a VK815 (LG G Pad X8.3) to install the "GPS Status" app, start it, let it run for a few minutes in a good reception location, and then note if any of the satellites displayed on the compass rose, are squares (for GLONASS) rather than circles (for GPS).
The specs also seem to suggest that teh VK815 lacks a compass, but I doubt that. At any rate, the above app will show that as well.
