[Q] Emoji Issue: Snapchat

Now, I'm no stranger to the XDA forums and have spent some time on my own trying to figure this out.

Before I continue:
Phone: HTC One M7 UL
Firmware: 6.04.1700.10 (GPE)
Android OS: 5.1 GPE (Stock & rooted)

So with that out of the way, back to the thing I've been trying to figure out.

Obviously emoji has been integrated by the hangouts apps. Then there is the iWinn keyboard, from what I remember from my nexus 4 days was a system implantation of emoji (or at least to my understanding).

I have the stock Messaging app from 4.4.2. Emoji, either iwinn keyboard and the smiley options, works on messaging and from my understanding a good amount of other apps as well. The only issue i seem to have is being unable to use ANY emojis on Snapchat. Obviously the app supports it, proof from personal experience and seeing other phones as well. I added the iWinn keyboard to my keyboard and made sure that Emojii was checked INSTEAD of japanese. But yet when I change to the iWinn keyboard a T9 keyboard appears instead of the emojis. So I have yet to find a resolution to this. Help would be appreciated.

I haven't encountered this issue with any other apps on my phone, so I'm confused on this one. Screen shots included
