[Q] Does anyone else see a delay in Adaptive Brightness?

Does anyone notice that when removing the phone from a pocket to a high or low light situation, the adaptive brightness takes several seconds to "adapt"? It is starting to really bug me to the point that I am thinking about turning it off. Previously I was used to the Moto X on lollipop 5.1 which seemed quite quick to change depending on the situation.

No case, no screen protector.
