Gen 4 Tablet 6" Red Triangle and Fastboot not working

Tablet boots to red triangle
I can get past this by holding volume up + power, but have to do it every time.
Not rooted
did the factory reset
Have adb and fastboot, adb sees the serial number
Bought a fastboot cable, but does the exact same thing, from Atomic Market
