With slow updates from Samsung/Verizon combined with Samsung Pay that doesn't work with rooted devices, I'm contemplating whether it's worth it sticking with Samsung anymore. I originally thought Samsung Pay would be a game changer, but then it took months for it to be released and they have eliminated root users. The Nexus 6P seems to hit all the points for me without any restriction of root AND an unlockable bootloader. Yes Android Pay is not nearly as universal as Samsung's, but there's less bloat, immediate updates, etc etc. Reviews seem favorable.
