[Q] Having a hard time starting. Need help getting passed this seemingly minor issue.

I'm following a course from StackSkills to learn how to develop applications. I'm using Andriod Studio SDK. I am still in the absolute beginning and in the video it showed to drag a widget to the "phone?" and when I tried doing that it didn't allow me to. When I try to drag onto the phone it displays a "cancel" symbol where the pointer would be. I apologize beforehand if this is not the proper location for the thread. I'm new here as well. Thanks for any help.

[Q] Wifi messed up: issue with my router, phone, or is this an Android issue?

I have an Asus ZenFone 2 that I have recently reflashed to stock, thinking it would fix the issue (which it has not).

The wifi on my home network shows that it's connected, and I have it set up so that wifi is working while the phone is sleeping, but sometimes it just stops. I get errors watching YouTube, apps that require internet connection stop responding, etc.

My router (Linksys E1550) has a basic setup, nothing out of the ordinary there. I never had this issue with my old phone (Galaxy Nexus) and the same router.

Any suggestions? I don't really have any other wifi network to test it against, unfortunately.

Screen vibrates a lot when using loud speaker. Will this breaks the glass?

HI all. The front glass of my z3c vibrates a lot when using the loud speaker. I'm afraid that in the long run, the glass will break. I wonder if this is related to all of the "self cracking glass" issues that this phone has!? Any idea guys? :rolleyes:

i updated my mate 7 TL-10 **** to b324 from b120sp04 and i tried also b128 , b123 , b130, but after update I FACE THE SAME PROBLEM and its all about that when i restore factory it will FAIL !!! HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE I'M REALLY DONE WITH THIS **** :( !!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my 3rd Android device (SM-G530AZ), this has the worst development out of any Android I've ever had. My Note 4 got stolen, or accidentally kicked in the bay when fishing with friends, my Nexus 6 got Stolen from a fein at a friends house while charging. My temporary 3rd Gen Moto G was stolen along with my backpack that had my 3 mo. Old Toshiba Satellite (i7) and my meds. I'm stuck with this thing until I make money and cover my losses...

i own p3100, i want to install cm12.1. but which build is good? should i download by watching its date of build i.e cm-12.1-20151023-1056 or should i download by watching this number ( 1056-UNOFFICIAL). which is best bug free in these?

Can I add this function? (Change auto brightness level)

I found that there has a function to change auto brightness level on Korean Galaxy note 3 model.
But my ATT Galaxy note doesn't have that function.

Can i add it?

I have my Samsung s4 sprint version rooted unlocked etc all that jazz and on red-pocket carrier. i used their sim card now the phone dot recognize the sim card and also i keep having issues with the google play services error. and bad battery drain i am on the stock deoxed od2 rom with stage-fright patch.

Re-activation locked out. Any idea how to fix this?

Friend of mine has a second hand note 3 (N9005) he has had for a while and he did a factory reset yesterday trying to clean it up. Now he can't use the phone because he didn't uncheck the reactivation lock before doing the reset. The previous owner can't remember the Samsung account credentials he used at all. I'm trying to help him fix it and wondering what I could do? There are no Samsung service centers where I live so that's not an option unfortunately.

Things I've tried so far:
1- Forgot ID bug (youtube/watch?v=UdH56pUZAY8)
2. Accessibility bug (youtube/watch?v=uvQawp0hfn8)

Neither one works. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure is the stock camera app is supposed to look like this or not? Mine has these 4 buttons on the top left corner. Is there any way to remove these because they are kinda in the way?

Feel like I'm going to drop this thing all the time

I've had this phone for 48 hours and I've almost dropped it more times than I can count. I have the black rubber back on it, feels like I'm holding a bar of soap. The bumper helps a little but looks god awful on the phone. Should I case the phone or just deal with it. I'm on the brink of returning it but I really want to like this phone.

Hi, this concerns Samsung Galaxy Young GT-S6310N

As I dont see any usefull info or modded ROM's, I am going to try and make myself the perfect ROM for me.
All I want to know, is:
What android version should I start with? The stock one is boring, so I want to try a newer version.
I know this is an old Samsung, but I want some small pointers to what you guys think I could succeed with, as Cyanogen Mod isnt availible, and no custom ROM whatever for this phone.
Only thing I have managed to do with it, is installing cwm&SU, and clean out the Samsung garbage programs, and some useless google apps.

My last day with this device

<rant> First off, I would like to say that I absolutely love the hardware of this phone. The Edge screen is gorgeous, the all glass and metal high end materials make this feel like a true flagship, and the camera is the best I have ever seen on a phone and has truly captured some of the greatest pictures I have ever taken. But having said that, I will never forgive Samsung for the horrible experience I've had with touchwiz. From worse than mediocre battery life to apps never wanting to stay open in the background, I have never felt so ashamed to show off one of my devices to someone who was thinking of switching. If you're going to give us such a horrible overlay of Android to play with, at least let us root and flash custom roms so that we can enjoy the great hardware you've assembled ... Since Sammy decided this year to become Apple, they've pushed me into switching to the dark side for the next year until we get a flagship Nexus without Qualcomm's horrible Snapdragon 810 SOC. So **** you Samsung, you've lost a loyal customer since the original Note with your inability to get your **** together and keep the true nature of freedom that Android is supposed to represent. Good riddance </rant>

Just got this phone, and have a few questions about rooting.

Hey guys, ive just bought one of these and its on 4.4.2. Its not giving me a notification for the lollipop OTA, but the HTC sync software says there is one. Now my question is, Should I root and unlock bootloader before doing the update or after? Which one would be a less time consuming process? Also, are there any methods of unlocking the bootloader without using the sunshine app? I guess ill pay if i have no choice, but ill have to wait till next month before i have the money to do so and im itching to remove this godawful verzion bloat. One last thing, i bought the phone from a reseller in India, and am using it on a GSM network currently, but will use it with a CDMA one in future (its working now, tested on 2 CDMA networks). I just want to make sure that updating will not stop it from working with Indian CDMA.
