Best Regards

Asus flash tool 1.0.0.11 - Unzip image failure

So I recently unrooted my zenfone c, and my phone was behaving wierd (wifi connected but no internet, default file browser of phone shows nothing inside: absolute blank, connects to PC but doesn't show in my computer, tells camera does not exist...) and so I decided to flash the stock rom again, I downloaded the stock rom from asus, and the flash tool from the net. Now when I follow the instructions say ..............here->............(asus.com/zentalk/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=14894&extra=page%3D1% 26filter%3Dtypeid%26typeid%3D231), the following error comes up in the flash tool while pressing the start button

!- I did not use the rom specified in the above linked page, but downloaded seperately from asus website. what may be the problem... I am new so can't post screen shots from links, so here is just the link ...........plus.google.com/photos/107799030761055081656/albums/6209484049893645089/6209484057280146242?pid=6209484057280146242&oid=10 7799030761055081656............

I was also thinking about using sideload from ADB, but given the error, I think the file(stock rom) has some problem... and the other one is that I don't know where my ADB exists, amidst about a 2Million folders, I am on vista, so you can think how does the search work, if any one can help me regarding this that would be great. I don't know much about android studio yet, and I uninstalled eclipse IDE from my PC, that is why I am having problem finding ADB folder.

Also I am new here (at XDA) so please forgive my first time errors like wrong forums and such :)
Thank You To everyone in advance

[Q] Asus Fonepad 8 vs Zenpad 8

Hello all ! I am looking to buy a tablet, basically a second device to my primary phone (Samsung Galaxy s4). For me calling is a must in the tablet and I am not looking at beyond 0 price mark. I finalized on Asus Fonepad 8 (Model:FE380CG) and Asus's newer model, the Zenpad 8 (Model: Z380KL). Brief specs of both as follows:

Asus Fonepad 8 FE380CG and Zenpad 8 Z380KL common specs:
=================================================
8" HD display with 1280X800px resolution
4000 mAh battery
2 GB RAM DDR3
MicroSD card slot
WiFi b/g/n, bluetooth 4.0, GPS with Glonass
Cameras on both tablets are average at best
Dimensions and weight more or less similar and for me doesn't matter.
Android lollipop 5.0 on both

Now the Fonepad 8 Specs:
=====================
Processor: Intel Atom Z3530 quad core cpu 1.33Ghz 64-bit
GPU: Power VR G6430
Dual SIM 3G dual standby
Front firing stereo speakers
Camera 2mp front and 5 mp back

Zepnad 8 Z380KL Specs:
===================
Processor: Qualcomm Spandragon 615 Octa core 1.8Ghz 64-bit
GPU: Adreno 405
Single SIM 4G LTE
Front firing single speaker
Camera: 2mp front and 8 mp back

Now after reading a lot about both of them I find that in benchmarks the intel atom processor is ahead of snapdragon 615 and without any heating issues. Secondly the GPU with intel processor though only a mid range gpu is almost twice as fast than the adreno 405 with the Snapdragon 615. Plus the the fonepad 8 has dual sim and dual front firing speakers for good audio. The zenpad 8 comes with a audio cover accessory which is like more. So overall I am really confused which one to get please help!.
My main criteria is Performance and battery life with good calling.

Please reply early as my second phone is dead already and need a urgent replacement. Thanks to all !!

Asus Zenpad 10 Z300C - Wifi 2.4ghz/Bluetooth interferences

Hi,

Does anyone knows if there are a solution to wifi 2.4ghz/Bluetooth interferences on Zenpad 10 Z300C ? On youtube, buffering video and listen it on bluetooth keyboard's speakers at the same time is impossible.
That tablet does not support 5ghz wifi.

CyanogenMod or any other custom ROM for super bloated Asus ZenPad S 8" (Z580C)

Hi. I've been referring to xda for a couple years now, and only recently decided to become a member of the forum. You guys have helped me out a lot over the last few years, with my devices. And now I've got a tough question. I've been reading as many threads related to the Asus zenpad z580c as I could, having already done the root provided by madsquabbles. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/andr...ieved-t3160422)
And that worked beautifully. I've already removed or frozen as much of the blaotware as I possibly could, and changed to Apex launcher, but I want more customization. I was hoping someone got Cyanogenmod, or dare i ask, Windows working on a zenpad. (once a windows fanboy, always a windows fanboy?) I would be open to just about any custom ROM solution that will remove all the trash bloatware. This ZenUI thing really bugs me, having upgraded to the zenpad from a Asus Nexus 7 which had more or less NO bloatware. At least none that couldn't be removed. But my ZenPad has 2GB of ram, and even with "Don't Keep Activities" enabled, it almost always has over a GB used. I would love to unlock the full potential of this tablet, but the bloat from ASUS is muddling the experience. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. You can also reply assuming I have a moderate skillset when it comes to this sort of thing, having custom flashed my nexus 7 many times and already flashing root access to this one after only having it for a week. Thanks!

Fastboot doesn't recognize my Asus zenfone2 on my ubuntu14.04

On the normal boot mode, my Asus zenfone2(ZE551ML) running android 5.0 is listed when I type adb devices. Then, I put the phone to the fastboot mode by adb boot bootloader. When the phone is already entering the fastboot mode, fastboot devices returns no result. But, lsusb listed the device's details including vendorid, productid, and device name.

I have tried to modified the 51-android.rule, run fastboot as root, change owner of the /dev/bus/usb/, re-install and update the android-tools. But my ubuntu still can not detect the zenfone2 on fastboot mode.

Moreover, I connect my other phone(Redmi2) which also on fastboot mode and it can be detected seamlessly. Also,when I tried to connect the zenfone2 to other ubuntu PC, it can be detected.

Has anyone ever encountered and solved the similar problem? Or perhaps have an idea what is the potential cause?

Any help will be appreciated! Thanks.
