So I'm looking into rooting my phone, but then that sparked another question for myself as I'm seeing different root software for different versions of Android. Now, coming from an iPhone I used to make the terrible mistake of updating the OS and eventually that killed my phone because the software was too much for the hardware to handle.
That being said, I want to make sure I don't make the same mistake with my Samsung S4. Currently I have Android Version 4.4.2, is this a solid version? Do I want to upgrade to 5.0.1 or will that just slow my phone down iPhone style, or should I downgrade? I could really care less about features, I just want a clean minimalist OS.
